The keeper takes the full force of an angled shot from Elijah Adebayo in the unmentionables and is out for the count for a couple of minutes.

Time stood still as Ryan Porteous slid in to produce a timely intervention to prevent Elijah Adebayo a clear shot on goal after Carlton Morris had flicked on a huge clearance from keeper Ethan Horvath.

The ball looped into the air, over the stranded Daniel Bachmann, but also narrowly over the crossbar. The corner comes to nought.

Troy Parrott comes off for Preston as they make their first change of the game.

There's no denying Watford have been more positive since the turnaround but is there a better side to hold onto a lead in the division than the Hatters, who have four clean sheets in their last six matches.
