It is a close to sell-out at Swansea today, where home fans are singing about last weekend's victory over Cardiff.

On the pitch, meantime, Russell Martin's players have made a bright start as they look to build on their derby triumph.

Coventry need the points more, though, in their bid for the play-offs and Mark Robins will be content enough with what he has seen so far.

    Blackpool 0-0 Cardiff City

An open start in this relegation six-pointer, but no big chances in the opening 10 minutes.

Connor Wickham has fired a 20-yard shot over the bar for the visitors, while Morgan Rogers gets a sight of goal for the hosts, but his eventual effort is wayward.

A must-win for second-bottom Blackpool to close the gap on the Bluebirds.

Rotherham United 3-1 West Bromwich Albion

A richly-deserved win in Rotherham's battle to beat the drop, but a chastening afternoon for West Brom's play-off hopes.

A first win in four lifts Matt Taylor's men above QPR and up to 18th, five points above the drop zone - for now at least.

A first defeat in five matches - and ninth away loss of the season - keeps West Brom five points below the play-off spots in ninth.

They could end the day in 12th if Watford, Preston and Sunderland all go on to win this afternoon.

  17. League One previewpublished at 14:54 British Summer Time 7 April 2023

Sheffield Wednesday will be desperate to halt the brakes on their five-game winless run when they travel to relegation-threatened Oxford - a side that has lost nine games in a 12 game winless run.

Bolton, fresh from their Papa Johns Trophy triumph over Plymouth at Wembley, turn their attention back to the play-off race as they travel to Exeter.

Plymouth - who are equal on points with Sheffield Wednesday, but have a game in hand on the Owls - will be looking to bounce back from the defeat at the national stadium as they make a long trek to Morecambe.

Any slip from the top two, and Ipswich will want to capitalise. They are just two points adrift of the automatic promotion spots and hosts play-off chasing Wycombe.

Likewise, Barnsley will want to keep the pressure firmly on in the race for a top-two finish and are at Burton Albion who have done well to move clear of the relegation places.

Bottom-side Forest Green host a faltering Derby side that has just slipped out of the play-off places for the first time in month.

Hugill has been everywhere this afternoon.

  19. League Two previewpublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 7 April 2023

In League Two, leaders Leyton Orient will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to 11 games. But it will be a stern test at seventh-placed Salford, who have lost just once in their past seven games.

Mansfield Town, who are one spot and two points adrift of Salford, will want keep the pressure on in the play-off race as they face a Swindon team that has failed to win in six.

Sutton United will be looking to stay in touch with the play-off places against a Stockport side that are still pushing for an automatic promotion spot.

Bradford City start the day on the same points as Stockport and face a Crawley Town side trying to move themselves clear of the relegation spots.

Rotherham United 3-1 West Bromwich Albion

This would be a big blow to West Brom's hopes of extending their season into the play-offs.

The gap would remain at five points to sixth-placed Blackburn who have played a game less.

And they can have no complaints - they came into the game with a four-match unbeaten run but they have been firmly second-best this afternoon.
