Even though we're a goal up, you do know that Middlesbrough are going to have their moments.

They're not going to make it easy.

Burnley aren't going to have it all their own way.

The ball bounces around the Middlesbrough box as Burnley go on the attack once more.

Anass Zaroury picks up possession unmarked but he tries to sidefoot home. Fortunately for Boro, there's not enough power on it to test keeper Zack Steffen.

It falls to Chuba Akpom right on the 18-yard line. He's just got to just feed it into the far corner.

It's open, a real open game. When opportunities arrive you've got to try and stick them away.

Middlesbrough are racing upfield now and trying to catch Burnley on the counter.

They work a low ball towards the centre of the Burnley box and Chuba Akpom gets on the end of it, but he buries his shot high and wide.

There's a deafening atmosphere at the Riverside despite the fact Middlesbrough are a goal down.

Meanwhile, Josh Brownhill continues to remonstrate with the referee over the penalty that never was.

There's certainly a bit of needle about this game early on.

Say what you will about whether Ashley Barnes was or was not offside. But that was a well-worked goal from Burnley.

Josh Brownhill is making himself a proper handful for Middlesbrough right now. He receives the ball on the edge of the Boro box and goes down after some pretty light contact from Aaron Ramsey, but the referee waves away his calls for a penalty.

Ashley Barnes has done well, the goalkeeper has got no chance. He opens his body up.

In the Championship once the goal is given it doesn't matter about the replay.

It's a great opening start for Burnley after a close 10 minutes.

Burnley are being well kept inside their own half by Middlesbrough right now.

Clarets keeper Ari Muric plays a pass back to Connor Roberts with the former Boro loanee sending a long ball out for a throw-in to the hosts.

Jeers ring around, the home support enjoyed that.

There is a fantastic atmosphere at the Riverside this evening.

Burnley will have to play the conditions as well as trying to find a way through what has been a pretty resolute Middlesbrough defence so far.

Cameron Archer plays a neat one-two inside the Burnley box but fires well over the crossbar when he receives possession once more.

There might be a bit of nerves for both sides. We've seen three or four really poor bits of play from both sides only five minutes in.

What a let-off for Burnley!

The Clarets cheaply lose possession to Chuba Akpom on the edge of their box but the MIddlesbrough forward opts to play the ball to Cameron Archer instead of going for goal.

And his tee-up (or should that be 'Tees up'?...I'll get my coat) rolls away and Burnley clear.

Burnley win a free-kick inside the first minute which is whipped across the face of the Middlesbrough goal, leading the hosts to concede a corner.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson sends it back into the Boro box but the hosts deal with the danger.

This particular fixture of association football has commenced.

Burnley are 90 minutes away from the Premier League. Middlesbrough stand in their way of a very good Friday.
