    Reading 0-0 Burnley

It's certainly not been a Burnley blow-out so far, as Reading have shown adventure against the seemingly champions-elect.

Winger Femi Azeez had two cracks at a cross, the second of which finds Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan in the box, but he can't keep his header down.

The Royals are enjoying a purple patch.

    Rotherham 0-0 Luton

Plenty of ebb and flow in South Yorkshire, as Rotherham continue to test out their vaunted visitors.

Chiedozie Ogbene's trickery for Matt Taylor's side took him into a decent area, but his cross remained unconverted.

Conor Coventry got his body in the way of Luton's top-scorer Carlton Morris - an ex-Millers loanee - as he got a shot away.

The transformation of Burton Albion by Dino Maamria continues to throw up intriguing twists.

The Brewers, who for a long time were right in the relegation fight, are now clear of the drop zone and have landed a big blow in the League One promotion race as they lead Sheffield Wednesday.

John Brayford came up with the goal, getting onto a backpost header from a Mustapha Carayol corner.

The visitors have responded well to going behind.

Home goalkeeper George Long is called upon to preserve the lead with a double save from Josh Onomah and the follow-up from Tom Cannon.

At the other end, Freddie Woodman then holds onto a long-range effort from Zian Flemming.

It's taken 20 minutes but finally Wigan have fired a response at Blackpool.

Thelo Aasgaard thrashes wide from outside the box, a moment to raise away fans' spirits.

Blackpool have done well to contain a Latics side who have not struggled for possession.

Josh Bowler's rising shot zips over the top as they broach a potential second.

    QPR 0-1 Coventry

The 3,000 Sky Blues who have made it to West London are in fine voice.

The QPR fans, less so. This losing feeling is a familiar one. The players are going to have to dig deep to turn this one around.

Leyton Orient celebrateImage source, Rex Features

League Two leaders Leyton Orient are 1-0 up at Sutton United, thanks to Kieran Sadlier's opener.

It's am important lead for a side that could earn promotion today, but as it stands other results are not going in their favour so the wait might just go on.

Elsewhere in the fourth division, Ali Al Hamadi has AFC Wimbledon level against Stevenage.

    Swansea 0-0 Huddersfield

    Gareth Vincent
BBC Sport Wales at the Swansea.com Stadium

As expected, Swansea are dominating possession in the early stages against Huddersfield, who have not had the ball too often since Neil Warnock took charge in February.

But the Terriers' veteran manager will not be worried about that, for Swansea have created very little.

It is early stages, of course, but former Cardiff boss Warnock looks to be enjoying his return to south Wales.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:20 British Summer Time 15 April 2023

    Reading 0-0 Burnley

Could be a telling blow for Burnley, as on-loan Southampton forward Nathan Tella has gone down and looks like he might not be able to continue.

Tella's 19 goals in all competitions have been massive in the Clarets winning promotion, but he's replaced by Darko Churlinov.

Royals goalkeeper Joe Lumley denied Belgian winger Manuel Benson just before that, as Burnley seek the opener with purpose.

    Bolton celebrateImage source, Rex Features

Ipswich Town have themselves back up to second and the automatic promotion places as it stands.

With Sheffield Wednesday and Burton still locked 0-0 after 15 minutes, Conor Chaplin's two early goals against Charlton has them ahead of the Owls in this very tight battle. Of course, there is a long way to do today.

Meanwhile, Bolton are up to fifth as they lead Oxford. Both the Trotters and Derby are making the most of Peterborough's loss earlier today, with the Posh slipping outside the play-off spots as it stands.

Rotherham have made some bright running against their promotion-chasing opponents, peppering the Luton penalty area.

Wes Harding has been sweeping in crosses, and Leeds loanee Leo Hjelde has picked up the same baton, sending one in toward Tyler Blackett, but Luton earn a free-kick.

Not an easy afternoon so far for Rob Edwards' side.

    The Den is rocking!!

The goal drought is over for Millwall as Tom Bradshaw has them in front in this huge play-off encounter.

Zian Flemming delivers the cross and Bradshaw's glancing header beats Freddie Woodman for his 15th of the season.

It's the Lions' first goal since 14 March.

    Blackpool 1-0 Wigan

The tense nature of the game by the seaside is no real surprise given the two teams are second-bottom and bottom of the Championship respectively.

Jerry Yates' early goal could be a pivotal one, given Blackpool have won only one of the past nine and Wigan one of the past 11.

  15. Postpublished at 15:15 British Summer Time 15 April 2023

    Millwall 0-0 Preston

That Coventry goal has real implications on this one. The Sky Blues would love a draw here.

Millwall have been forced into an early change as Murray Wallace has gone off injured with Scott Malone on in his place.

  16. Elsewhere in League Onepublished at 15:13 British Summer Time 15 April 2023

The day has taken a grim early turn for Forest Green Rovers.

As it stands, Slobodan Tedic's goal to put Barnsley ahead at the New Lawn is sending Forest Green toward relegation today.

League Two play-off chasers Bradford also got among the early goals this afternoon, with Sam Stubbs putting them ahead against bottom side Rochdale.

  17. Postpublished at 15:12 British Summer Time 15 April 2023

    Rotherham 0-0 Luton

Luton can leap back ahead of Middlesbrough into third spot if they avoid defeat this afternoon in South Yorkshire.

However, the Millers - who are keen to pull away from the wrong end of the table - have an impressive home record with three wins from four.

Hatters keeper Ethan Horvath had to be alert to claim a Wes Harding cross, while at the other end, long-serving stalwart Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu had a shot blocked by Tyler Blackett.

Coventry's super Swede has the visitors in front!

The Sky Blues launch a quick counter attack and Gustavo Hamer finds Viktor Gyokeres, who does the business, curling it past Seny Dieng.

A 19th Championship goal of the season for Gyokeres. Only Middlesbrough's Chuba Akpom has scored more.

    Swansea 0-0 Huddersfield

Neil Warnock has shuffled his pack with three changes to his Huddersfield side from the Easter Monday draw with Blackburn.

One of the players brought in, Brahima Diarra, is involved early on, as he is chopped down by home midfielder Jay Fulton, who goes into the book.

  20. goal

GOAL: Watford 1-0 Bristol Citypublished at 15:09 British Summer Time 15 April 2023

Harry Cornick own goal (6 mins)

Watford take the lead early doors against Bristol City.

Is it a Joao Pedro goal or a Harry Cornick own goal? You be the judge but the Hornets' opener comes via an Imran Louza free-kick which the visitors fail to deal with.
