Jaden Philogene has been a constant source of positivity for Cardiff today.

He cuts in from the left and while still a long way out, he goes for goal from distance.

Adam Davies is untroubled as it whistles off target, but with the Bluebirds battling relegation they will want to throw whatever they can at Sheffield United the longer this game goes on.

In today's other lunchtime League One derby, Cambridge United have just gone 2-0 up against Peterborough.

A fine team move saw Sam Smith finish superbly off the inside of the post.

This will be a big three points in Cambridge's battle to avoid the drop if they can hold on for another 25 minutes against their play-off chasing rivals.

Sheffield United fans are vocal in their displeasure when Iliman Ndiaye has a fist full of shirt grabbed by Mark McGuinness after the ball was worked long to him.

Ndiaye, himself, doesn't protest after no action is taken but he certainly looked impeded there.

There was one change at half-time, with Cardiff calling on Callum O'Dowda from the bench to replace Jack Simpson.

It seemed a likely change for a while, with Simpson on a yellow card after just a few minutes. He also took an awkward fall in the first half.

Cardiff are the lowest scorers in the Championship this season, but will need at least one goal after the break to put distance between themselves and the relegation places.
