It's just non-stop here. Every time Aston Villa look to play their way out from the back a sea of Chelsea bodies give chase.

Not good defending from Villa.

When the free kick first comes in, Sam Kerr is the first player to reach the ball.

Villa had an opportunity to get rid and they didn't. It comes back in, Niamh Charles has a free header to nod the ball down, and Hannah Hampton was unable to gather.

Jelena Cankovic is the quickest to react to put the ball in the net.

Hannah Hampton has to guard her goal once again. Johanna Rytting Kaneryd skips through the back line but has her shot turned behind.

Nothing comes of the corner.

Chelsea have been hungry since the first minute here and don't look like letting up. Their pressing is just relentless.

Do they have enough energy in the tank to keep it up?

That attack by Villa started with Rachel Daly taking the ball out of the air with the outside of her foot.

A great touch.

You have to wonder whether Daly meant that. She goes to flick the ball with her back foot and it looks as if she was setting up to go for the ball with her right foot.

That's the best chance the hosts have had.

What a stop!

Alisha Lehmann races down the wing, Rachel Daly goes for a clever flick towards the near post and Zecira Musovic dives to the ground to tip her effort around for a corner.

You can definitely see that when the ball goes back to Hannah Hampton, Sam Kerr in particular is looking to press.

That's three times now that Hampton's kicks have gone out of play. Chelsea have clearly highlighted that as an area to exploit today.

Argh. Chelsea have a lovely bit of link-up play between Guro Reiten and Niamh Charles, but Sam Kerr just can't reach the final ball.

They're creating chances.

Now Kenza Dali has a shot blocked for Aston Villa. It's all going on!

Hannah Hampton is forced into a fantastic save to stop Guro Reiten from close range as she meets a Niamh Charles cut-back. So, so close to an opener.

Chelsea have started really well, really aggressively in the high press.

They're stopping the likes of Jordan Nobbs a playmaker getting on the ball, who we have hardly mentioned yet today.

That's obviously something [controlling the midfield] that Chelsea have worked on in training this week.

They'll want to get an early goal to make this dominance count.

Kate Stengel's shot was the last chance of this match.

A frustrating afternoon for both of these teams but an extra point pretty much guarantees their WSL survival I reckon.

Truly end-to-end stuff so far. Chelsea glide forwards through Niamh Charles and Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, but Villa defend resolutely and move up the pitch themselves. Kirsty Hanson is fouled and their momentum is stopped.
