It's been inevitable for some time, really, but Sheffield United will be glad of getting the job done with three games to spare.

I mean there's still a few minutes left here but West Brom have offered so little going forward in this second half, it's difficult to see them working a late miracle.

Indeed, the Blades sniff a third goal but a nice passing move sees John Fleck's final ball to Sander Berge just overhit.

Albion try to muster a retort as Taylor Gardner-Hickman's low 20-yarder is well struck but Wes Foderingham deals with it comfortably enough.

At the other end, Billy Sharp almost has a tap-in as Alex Palmer can only palm a cross down at his feet but a defender intervenes to hack it clear.

That's the sound of a lot of bottles of champagne (and various other drinks) being popped across one half of Sheffield.

It was a wonderfully controlled close range finish from centre-back Anel Ahmedhodzic.

The only player the Blades paid a fee for last summer has been excellent all season.
