West Brom definitely looking the more dangerous here.

Darnell Furlong tries to thread Okay Yokuslu in and Jack Robinson does well to intervene.

Conor Townsend then goes down on the edge of the box but nothing doing. Right decision - he wasn't touched.

Foderingham is fine. He's just leathered a long clearance with no ill-effects.

We knew it was going to be tough. You know to beat West Brom you have to match them physically and at the moment it's a tough physical battle.

Injury worry for Sheffield United as goalkeeper Wes Foderingham has what seems a foot problem.

He's been excellent for the Blades this season.

This has been a very assured start from West Brom, especially considering the nature of their home defeat by play-off rivals Sunderland on Sunday.

They have got to make this pressure count now though because you'd imagine the home side will improve...

They'll need to if they're to get the three points they need to get promotion done and dusted this evening.

This will probably reignite the debate about VAR being used in the Championship.

If it was, West Brom would have had a spot-kick without doubt.

As it is, Sheffield United break and earn their first corner but it's comfortable cleared.

    Sheff Utd 0-0 West Brom

West Brom almost score from the free-kick anyway as a clever short routine finds Jed Wallace in acres of space on the 18-yard line but his curler is well pushed away by Wes Foderingham.

A couple of Baggies players try follow-up attempts - and Foderingham produces a superb save to thwart one - but the flag is up for offside.

That contact is just inside the area and United have got away with one there.

West Brom should have a penalty.

Max Lowe clips the heel of Brandon Thomas-Asante right in the corner of the box.

The officials think it is outside the area. But it wasn't.

The Bramall Lane crowd roars in anticipation as the exciting Iliman Ndiaye races towards the box but Semi Ajayi keeps pace superbly.

He forces Ndiaye to check back after getting into the box and the Senegalese slips before conceding a free-kick.

Referee Dean Whitestone slipped too, which a crowd always loves.

Sheffield United respond with their first effort of note.

Oli McBurnie's low cross is cleared by Semi Ajayi but the Blades recycle the ball well and Sander Berge's 25-yarder flies a couple of feet over.

This is a decent start from Albion, they've taken the game to the home side.

Norway midfielder Sander Berge not enjoying the best start to the game.

He's given away a free-kick out wide on the left.

Jed Wallace is always a threat with the quality of his delivery but this one is slightly overhit and Sheffield United see it out for a goal kick.

Sander Berge lets a pass roll under his feet but recovers to clear.

Oli McBurnie looks to have found space briefly but West Brom crowd him out.

    What a chance that was!

Someone sat behind me in the press box yelled "how's he missed?!" as the ball bounced over the bar.

If this game doesn't go Albion's way I'd imagine Karlan Grant will be asking himself that question all the way home.

That's a warning for the home side.

He's got to put that away! What a ball from Jed Wallace. Just poke it in! A golden opportunity.

    Oh dear Karlan Grant.

Jed Wallace puts it on a plate for him with a wonderful cross. But the ball just jumps up a tad and Grant, three yards out, isn't sure to head it, chest it or what.

It almost hits him in the nose as he dips his head down to meet in and he diverts it into the ground and up over the bar. Great chance.

Bit of a nervy start from both sides, misplaced passes from each in the opening minute. Understandable with what's at stake.

We're about to find out. The game - the 5,000th league match in West Brom's history - is under way.
