  2. Reading draw ensures Cardiff's survivalpublished at 11:51 British Summer Time 30 April 2023

All eyes yesterday were on Reading against Wigan, with the Latics needing three points to avoid relegation to League One.

Wigan looked set to keep alive their hopes of avoiding the drop when a Charlie Hughes header inside the final 10 minutes put them ahead.

But Wigan keeper Jamie Jones failed to gather a corner and Yakou Meite converted from close range to earn a point for the Royals.

While it was a vital point for Reading, it was also celebrated down the M4 in Cardiff.

Victory at Rotherham in midweek left the Bluebirds on the cusp of securing their place as a Championship side for next season.

And as Reading were unable to pick up all three points against Wigan, Sabri Lamouchi's first job as Cardiff boss is complete.

  5. Welcome to south Walespublished at 11:45 British Summer Time 30 April 2023

Cardiff City v Huddersfield Town (12:00 BST)

Good morning, and welcome to a wet and windy south Wales as Cardiff City play host to Huddersfield Town.

The Bluebirds can finally begin to plan for another season in the Championship, as Saturday's results confirmed their survival after a tricky season.

The same cannot be said for Huddersfield however, and defeat today would see them drop back into the Championship's bottom three on goal difference.

The Terriers have two games in hand on all three teams in the relegation zone - including today's match - so the pressure is on.

Cardiff fans will of course need no introducing to the man in the Huddersfield dugout, but first let's take a look at the teams.
