Manchester City have been phenomenal tonight.

This is a Real Madrid team we have marvelled at for years with regards to their mentality and they always find a way.

They haven't found a way this evening.

Man City have absolutely destroyed them.

Manchester City's Bernardo Silva, speaking to BT Sport: "It is a beautiful night for us. We know it would be tough but to beat this Real Madrid team 4-0 at home was wonderful. Hopefully we will win it.

"We know how tough they are. They pushed us but we were very resiliant, we were passionate but organised at the time.

"My performance in the first game in Madrid was not the one I wanted and I wanted to compensate that. Today I had to do better for my team-mates and the fans and that is what I tried to do.

"I am small but good with my head!"

On Inter Milan: "I watched their games, they look very strong and organised defensively. It will be tough but we will try it.

"The Premier League is another trophy we want to win with our fans again so will look to recover before then."

Great atmosphere tonight. The players are going around the pitch and celebrating with the fans. It's a special occasion for them. They lost to Real Madrid at this stage last season. The treble is getting ever closer.

For me, this was the biggest hurdle to get over. I know 4-0 looks like a mauling which it is of course but Real Madrid you can never rule them out but they got past them tonight.

Emphatic. Man City displayed real composure, authority and control.

Man City got the two goals. Over the course of the two legs, they have been too good for Madrid. They will go into the final as overwhelming favourites. They are nearly there.

The Champions League is the one that they want, Pep Guardiola and Man City want. If they perform anywhere like this in the final, you can only see one winner. One more step is what's required.

Ex-City defender Micah Richards is here on media duties, but he is filling his boots with the celebrations on the touchline. Jack Grealish, Phil Foden and Kevin de Bruyne have all been treated to a huge bear hug.

Obviously, there is still a game to go in this competition for Manchester City. But some performances deserve a lap of honour and this is very much one of them.

The fans in here will remember this night for the rest of their lives.

The City celebrations are exactly as you would imagine. In the stands, the fans are bouncing. On the pitch, the grins are a mile wide, the embraces between players emphatic.

What a pass from Foden, that's the City bench. Foden and Alvarez. He just weights the ball into Alvarez who makes a run in behind the backline. He just passes it into the net. Courtois tries to save it. It's all about Foden, absolutely incredible.

A landmark victory for Manchester City.

Real Madrid have not just been beaten here, they have been chewed up and spat out.

Pep Guardiola's side are off to another Champions League final.

They won't be winning La Liga, they won't be winning the Champions League. A season like that usually ends only one way for a Real Madrid manager, sadly.

City are rattling through subs now. Julian Alvarez is on for Erling Haaland.

Into the final five minutes. Is this City's finest win under Guardiola? It has some stiff competition, but when you factor in the opponent, the occasion and the utter dominance, it is certainly up there.
