You get the feeling that the winner is probably going to come from the other tie, Man City or Real Madrid.

But I suppose Inter are on a great run of form at the minute, they are flying.

Ooooh, cheeky from Francesco Acerbi who appears to stamp on an AC Milan player.

No response from the referee or VAR.

I can't believe that they'd knock it down!

It is such an iconic stadium isn't it? The circular walkways, the concrete industrial look.

It's really imposing when you stand outside it.

Poor. AC Milan finally build an attack but Junior Messias' cross is too strong and goes behind for a goal kick.

Dil: How did Napoli lose to this Milan team - scandalous - this is pull your eyes out ineptitude from Milan.

Garett: I would love to see a stat of how long the ball has actually been in play this half. Talk about start-stop. Between fouls, ball out of play, treatment...there's no rhythm to this match.

    Mina Rzouki
European football expert on BBC Radio 5 live

If Milan had managed to score either chance [from Diaz or Leao] they would have had something to clutch onto going into the second half.

When you judge teams and you see the sort of chances missed by Milan compared to the chances taken by Dzeko and Mkhitaryan in the first leg, you have to concede that there is not much more you can do.

There's one thing creating chances, but if you're not efficient then you'll always be susceptible to the counter attack that Inter love so much.

  14. Postpublished at 21:01 British Summer Time 16 May 2023

HT: Inter Milan 0-0 AC Milan (Agg: 2-0)

All three of AC Milan's goals in this season's Champions League knockout stages have been scored in the first half.

They've gone without a goal in all five second halves since the Last 16 round.

  15. 'Chance of all chances for Diaz'published at 20:59 British Summer Time 16 May 2023

HT: Inter Milan 0-0 AC Milan (Agg: 2-0)

    Asmir Begovic
Everton goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

We said it before the game if Milan can get the early goal then things can change.

Brahim Diaz had the chance of all chances, and could have swung the game for Milan.

  17. 'Milan could come to rue missed opportunities'published at 20:54 British Summer Time 16 May 2023

Interesting game. Poised nicely, and tactically two different sides with how they're setting up.

You just can't help but feel that those opportunities that have fallen to Brahim Diaz and Rafael Leao, you need to make those moments count.

When your back is against the wall and you're 2-0 down in the tie, you have to take those chances.

Inter have started to edge back into the game, and that continuous danger on the breakaway is just dampening the hope of Milan.

Every 5 mins there is a foul, players rolling around as if they are hurt and miraculously up and running again in 60 secs. Ref needs to get a grip.
