White suits at Wembley? No, it's not Liverpool's 'Spice Boys' from the 1996 FA Cup final but a gospel choir who are singing Abide with Me.

There have been situations where you have to question David de Gea's contribution.

With Erik ten Hag, you need to be able to play out from the back and he has struggled to do that.

If he is to stay at United, which is an option, he must improve on that side of his game. I think he has improved over the season with his feet, he's not at Ederson's level, but he has improved a lot.

Manchester United followed their path before the semi-final ahead of today's game.

They stayed at the Lensbury in Teddington on Thursday night and used university pitches close by on Friday for their training session before switching to another hotel closer to Wembley last night.

It worked for the semi-final, when United beat Brighton on a penalty shoot-out.

I suspect they will need more than lucky omens to get them past Manchester City.

On paper, looking at the two cup squads today Man Utd's is far weaker. So in principle Man City should win, but it's a cup final, anything can happen. As a MU fan I really don't fancy our chances at all, just hope we give everything, high work rate and score at least one!

Erik ten Hag has helped Marcus Rashford, his finishing has improved and he's so much more confident.

The biggest thing is Cristiano Ronaldo leaving, he feels like he's the main man now. He knows that if he misses a chance or has a bad game that he'll still be starting the next match.

He has been such an important player for United this season.

“If City start well, it could be a comfortable win, and if not and it’s a little bit cagey I don’t see Manchester United comfortably winning the game for obvious reasons and it could be tight right to the end. So, I have sat on the fence, but eight out of 10 times City should win.”

BBC Sport's football expert Chris Sutton has made his prediction for today's game, as well as a famous fan of both teams - Manchester City supporter Noel Gallagher and Tom Grennan, who follows Manchester United.

All three of them have gone for a City win, with Sutton saying: "City won't just beat United comfortably, they will wipe the floor with them."

You lot are backing the Blues too by the way... in a vote on the predictions page, 64% of you have gone for a City win. There's still time for you to change that though... but not much!

Wembley is like a Manchester music festival. We've had Joy Division, Doves and Oasis pumped from the speakers. Just need something from The Smiths but the DJ is determined to keep it upbeat and is now playing Freed from Desire.

"The chanting is getting louder and louder but apart from the odd flare, which have been confiscated by police, fans seem to be behaving themselves."

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, speaking to BBC One: "It's great at Wembley, you can feel the history and it's the first time Manchester United and Manchester City have played each other in an FA Cup final. I'm so proud to be part of it.

"It's a great opportunity. I said before 'let's make this one of the best days of your life'.

"It's about their own legacy and trying to pick up a trophy.

"We have to approach this game in the right way and give everything we have, more than 100%."

Speaking to BBC World Service’s Sportsworld, Raimond van der Gouw, Manchester United Treble winner in 1999, on whether the current team will be thinking about stopping City’s current Treble attempt:

“The focus for them will be winning the FA Cup, it’s not about stopping the Treble because that’s not the point for the players.

"It’s just a massive game because it’s City, it’s the same town, so everybody knows everybody, it will be a fantastic game to look forward to.”

Manchester United have plenty of incentives to win the FA Cup today and one is the desire maintain their place in history. They remain the only English side to win the perfect Treble of Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League, in 1999. They have it in their power to ensure it stays that way as halt Manchester City's quest but they start as underdogs in pretty much everyone's eyes at Wembley today.

It took a while for Erling Haaland to work out how to fit into this City side and it took time for his team-mates to work out how to play with him.

We've seen all the great things about Haaland but if we are going to get picky then it's his hold-up play could be improved.

    Everything else is sensational.

The Wembley turf looks absolutely pristine from a distance, especially in the bright sunshine today, and the playing surface is just as impressive when you are standing on it, or at least next to it.

Sadly the sign on the left in the picture above applied to me, not the one on the right.... but someone, wearing red or blue, will leave the pitch as a legend later. We just don't know who yet.
