    "How many?!"

Did the home fans appreciate seeing the board go up with six minutes added on? They did not, no.

  2. INJURY TIMEpublished at 90 mins

    Barnsley 1-0 Bolton (Agg 2-1)

    Six minutes added on.

How are your nerves, Barnsley fans? Surely we can't see two injury time comebacks on consecutive nights?

  3. Postpublished at 88 mins

    Barnsley 1-0 Bolton (Agg 2-1)

Josh Sheehan looks to send a ball into the box for Dion Charles to run on to.

But the Bolton man can't quite link on to it before it's scooped up by Barnsley keeper Harvey Isted.

Time is running out for Bolton, now. The Barnsley fans can sense victory.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 87 mins

    Barnsley 1-0 Bolton (Agg 2-1)

Another change, this time from Barnsley.

Devante Cole is off. Luke Thomas is on.

  5. 'Three up front for Bolton'published at 21:50 British Summer Time 19 May 2023

    Barnsley 1-0 Bolton (Agg 2-1)

    Phil Brown
Former Bolton assistant manager on BBC Radio Manchester

It's not last throw of the dice from Barnsley with these changes, but it is from Wanderers.

They're putting three up front. They've got to go for it.

There should be quite a bit of added time for the substitutions, let alone the time-wasting.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 85 mins

    Barnsley 1-0 Bolton (Agg 2-1)

Luca Connell is withdrawn by Barnsley.

The former Bolton man might just have played his part in sending the Tykes to Wembley, having set up Liam Kitching's goal.

Adam Phillips is also off for the hosts with John Russell and Josh Benson being sent on.

Meanwhile, Bolton send on Cameron Jerome for Aaron Morley.

  7. Postpublished at 21:49 British Summer Time 19 May 2023

    Barnsley 1-0 Bolton (Agg 2-1)

    Ian Woodcock
    BBC Sport at Oakwell

Barnsley's backline, marshalled by the brilliant Mads Andersen, have been excellent all night.

They're closing in on a clean sheet that would send their side to Wembley.

Bolton are going to have to chuck caution to the wind now. Better to go out with your sword in your hand than your shield.

  8. 'Santos went down theatrically'published at 21:48 British Summer Time 19 May 2023

    Barnsley 1-0 Bolton (Agg 2-1)

    Phil Brown
Former Bolton assistant manager on BBC Radio Manchester

Bolton's Ricardo Santos has got away with it with that challenge.

He went to ground very theatrically and handled it as well. You've got to be 100% with those.

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 82 mins

    Barnsley 1-0 Bolton (Agg 2-1)

Ricardo Santos is booked for bringing down Barnsley substitute James Norwood.

From the replay, I think Conor Bradley had more contact but referee Michael Salisbury disagrees.

Meanwhile, from the free-kick that follows, the hosts are flagged offside.

  10. 'Let-off for Barnsley'published at 21:45 British Summer Time 19 May 2023

    Barnsley 1-0 Bolton (Agg 2-1)

    David Preece
Former Barnsley keeper on BBC Radio Sheffield

The indirect free-kick was a strange situation. You don't want to give the opposition an opportunity like that when you're controlling the game.

There was a bit of a lull in the crowd here, so it's not like Harry Isted couldn't hear his team-mates. It's a bit of a let-off for Barnsley that Bolton didn't score.

  11. Postpublished at 81 mins

    Barnsley 1-0 Bolton (Agg 2-1)

Declan John and George Johnston combine in Barnsley's final third before the latter whips a ball into the box.

It sails past the face of goal and no-one can get on the end of it.

Sort of sums up Bolton's night, really.

  12. Postpublished at 80 mins

    Barnsley 1-0 Bolton (Agg 2-1)

Bolton have never won an away game in the play-offs.

In fact they've not featured in the play-offs since 2001.

Suppose what better time to start than now, eh? Ten minutes left on the clock.

    BBC Sport at Oakwell

Don't see indirect free-kicks often these days do you?

Aaron Morley got absolutely everything behind his shot but couldn't keep it on target.

Time is ticking away from the visitors now. Will they get a better chance to level?

Mads Andersen plays the ball directly to Barnsley team-mate and goalkeeper Harvey Isted, who handles and the hosts concede an indirect free-kick for a backpass inside their area.

Aaron Morley and Conor Bradley stand over it, with the former striking just over the bar.

Jeers go up from the home supporters.

  15. Postpublished at 74 mins

    Barnsley 1-0 Bolton (Agg 2-1)

Barnsley slip the ball to the onrushing Devante Cole, who goes on a solo run down the right and strikes low and to the wrong side of the right-hand Bolton post.

His team-mate Herbie Kane was unmarked and in a decent position.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 73 mins

    Barnsley 1-0 Bolton (Agg 2-1)

Bobby Thomas' long throw in to the Bolton box is well dealt with by the visitors' backline, with keeper James Trafford scooping up the ball

In the aftermath, there's another Bolton double change.

Kyle Dempsey and Randell Williams come off, Josh Sheehan and Declan John come on.

  17. 'Rushed and making bad decisions'published at 21:35 British Summer Time 19 May 2023

    Barnsley 1-0 Bolton (Agg 2-1)

    David Preece
Former Barnsley keeper on BBC Radio Sheffield

Even when Bolton do have time on the ball and can pick different options, they feel rushed and they're making bad decisions.

That's a consequence of how Barnsley have played all evening.

  18. Postpublished at 71 mins

    Barnsley 1-0 Bolton (Agg 2-1)

    Less than 20 minutes remaining.

Bolton, for all their positivity since returning for the second half, have nothing to show for their efforts.

Barnsley have offered little, other than Adam Phillips' strike, either.

This is still in the balance.

  19. 'No time for pretty football'published at 21:33 British Summer Time 19 May 2023

    Barnsley 1-0 Bolton (Agg 2-1)

    Phil Brown
Former Bolton assistant manager on BBC Radio Manchester

That was a great effort from Adam Phillips. The first touch was magnificent and the goalkeeper had no chance.

I don't disagree with the substitutions. Elias Kachunga is going in the hole as a number 10. Bolton have changed to a 3-4-1-2 formation, which is a very positive move from a manager who's got 20-to-25 minutes of the season left unless Wanderers score.

It's not a time for pretty football; it's a time for winners to step up to the plate. I'd be hitting the frontman as quickly as I can.

These players could be heroes in Bolton.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 68 mins

    Barnsley 1-0 Bolton (Agg 2-1)

    A double Bolton change.

George Thomason and Dan Nlundulu come off for the visitors, Elias Kachunga and Victor Adeboyejo replace them.
