Notts County have had two chances in this second half, Sam Austin put it over the bar and then the Connor Rawlinson header from 7-8 yards out and it went inches wide.

They have looked toothless in attack otherwise despite having the record goalscorer at this level.

Notts County with plenty of possession but Chesterfield keep pushing them back in the final third.

When the Magpies get close they're popping off loose crosses that are sailing high and wide out of play.

They look a little out of ideas.

That was a dangerous moment. Chesterfield will have to manage periods like that throughout the game.

They will have to be resolute with defending against Notts County and make sure there are lots of blue shirts in the box.

That was a warning for Chesterfield.

Notts County have made a reasonable start to this season half.

They have got to be patient with attacking play, they can't force it. The early signs are promising but they are very early signs.

An aggressive start from Notts County who are working the space around the Chesterfield box.

A show of intent from the Magpies who are trying to set the tone.
