    Australia v England (11:00 BST)

The Lionesses' semi-final with the Matildas will be the teams' first meeting at a Women's World Cup.

In a friendly back in April, their most recent encounter, Australia won 2-0, ending a 30-match unbeaten run and inflicting England's only defeat under Sarina Wiegman.

The pair drew 1-1 in a friendly in 2018 while England twice beat Australia in non-competitive matches in 2015, winning 3-0 in March and 1-0 in October.

Australia have really grown to relish the home crowd. They’ve used the delight and joy and their country embracing football as a whole to take over the nation.

I think it will be nothing but a positive for Australia. They have never reached a semi final before. The players believe they can go all the way.

[Sam Kerr] She is available and trained well, according to the manager. I don’t think Sam Kerr will start. I think she will be used on the bench again.

Stadium Australia in Sydney will host the semi-final and the final. It is a ground which echoes with sporting history - for both Australia and England.

It is the location where, at the Sydney Olympics in 2000, Australian Cathy Freeman won her iconic 400m gold to become only the the second Australian Aboriginal Olympic champion.

In 2003 Jonny Wilkinson's 100th-minute drop goal helped England defeat Australia 20-17 in the Rugby World Cup final.

It also boasts a fine footballing pedigree hosting Australia men's Asia Cup final win over South Korea in 2015.

And, back in 2005, John Aloisi scored a penalty against Uruguay to send the Socceroos to their first World Cup since 1974.

For a long time that was Australian football's most iconic moment. Victory over England would certainly eclipse that.

My prediction for today's semi final. Australia will keep it tough, like our friendly in April, but I still think England will go through with our 1-3 win. I am so proud of what these ladies have achieved, and I hope their journey continues at the World Cup final! Come on, Lionesses!!

Australia's newspapers are unsurprisingly going big on the World Cup semi-final, with pages upon pages of articles, special pull-outs - and even a Sam Kerr cut-out mask.

Sydney's Daily Telegraph, which has temporarily changed it's name in honour of the Matildas to the Tillygraph", declares that Australia are "poised to put the Old Enemy to the sword".

The Sydney Morning Herald features a cartoon of the team high-fiving Australian icon Cathy Freeman, who won 400m gold at the 2000 Olympics.

Its front page says: "No national team has fused hopes and dreams so magically as the Matildas. And not since Cathy Freeman at the Sydney Olympics has Australia stopped like it will tonight."

"It's a fundamental truth down under that if there's a chance to beat the old enemy at their own game on the biggest stage, you grasp it."

Australians love nothing more than the rivalry against England on any sporting front, says Aussie journalist and commentator Adam Peacock.

The football feud is not as established but Peacock says: "So many people here in Australia aren't football fans but are on this bandwagon, so the first thing they say is, 'oh yes, you beauty. The rivalry continues'.

"In football it's not as big as it is in cricket but it's still very much us versus them.

"I wish we had a little bit longer for the occasion to soak in, but I think by the time kick-off comes around this will be a game that everyone wants to win. [Beating] England will be the extra cherry on top."

England and Australia share a unique sporting rivalry.

After a thrilling men's and women's Ashes series this summer and a final between the two nations at the Netball World Cup, England should expect a hostile atmosphere in Stadium Australia.

In Sydney alone England won a thrilling Rugby World Cup in 2003, while Australia sealed a 5-0 men's Ashes series win in 2014.

That said, both sides have tried to play down any hints of a rivalry in their pre-match press conferences, although the narrative is hard to ignore.

"The media do talk a lot but for us it's not about Australia, we want to win regardless," said England midfielder Keira Walsh.

While Australia keeper Lydia Williams said she saw the match as, "just another game".

Australian pop star Kylie Minogue has brought back one of her old school bangers, 'I should be so lucky' as a poem to hype up today's semi-final.

The 1987 hit features the lyrics "In my mind a celebration, the sweetest of sensation".

Only one team will have that feeling when the final whistle blows, but let's hope it's the match-up it promises to be.

We should be so lucky, Kylie.

Hugely controversial (and a tad biased as a MUW season ticket holder) but wonder if Sarina throws a wild card and starts Katie Zelem? Keira Walsh definitely a tad off it since the injury, plus Oz strategy will be Keira-obsessed so this would throw them off. Plus Katie well suited as insurance policy for back three, giving freedom to wing backs and the outstanding Georgia Stanway (who's been sensational and all-action but not getting the praise she should!). Roar Lionesses!
