Luton Town manager Rob Edwards speaking in an exclusive interview on BBC Football Focus: ""In the end, it was probably a bit of relief because it didn't feel right [at Watford], if I am being honest. There was lots of support in certain areas, but not the right areas. I feel like I have that here."

On Luton's success: "When we did the open-top bus on the Monday, I saw a town that was united then and was together. That made me more proud than any other moment in my career.

"I find it really hard to reflect and you always just think about what is next, and start preparing for what's coming."

Do you have worries you may hit the wall? "Yeah. We all have doubt and all have worries. It's just normal. That's life. You can't hide that. I am incredible confident in this group. We want to try and be in the Premier League next season and we know how tough that is.

"We have proved people wrong and they want to do that again."

Arsenal absolutely dismantling Forest when there is no pressure, but lost 1-0 to them in May when there was pressure. And people still say they didn't bottle the league...

    Anon

Amrul: Let's be honest here if Arsenal could pick a fixture for first game of the season it would have been Forest at home.

    Final Score at Vitality Stadium

This is the first picture you see when you enter the media room at the Vitality Stadium. A reminder of a previous triumph for the home side who’ll want to forget their last home encounter, which ended in a 4-0 drubbing for the hosts. A flurry of signings for both sides in the past week shows intent, even if most of them won’t play today for various reasons. A decent test as a Premier League debut for new Cherries boss Andoni Iraola.

Two teams who have lost club legends in the summer clash here at Bramall Lane.

Newly promoted Sheffield United will be without Billy Sharp, Illiman N'Diaye and Sander Berge. Club legend Sharp was released and the other two were sold for big money.

For Palace it's a first season without Wilfried Zaha who has left for Turkey. Roy Hodgson is back after steering the Eagles to safety last season and he will be hoping for a positive start.

All these Arsenal fans saying we need a centre-forward are overlooking the fact we scored a club record 88 league goals last season, 15 more than The Invincibles. Scoring is not the problem!

    Matt

Two cracking goals from two academy lads. What do we have to complain about? Just enjoy it.

50 minutes into the new season and already the armchair managers are deciding who are the good players and who aren't. Tedious.

  14. YELLOW CARDpublished at 45+3 mins

    Arsenal 2-0 Nottingham Forest

Forest can hardly keep hold of the ball, let alone stage anything meaningful.

They try to break and this time Jurrien Timber is a bit heavy in his challenge, catches Brennan Johnson and gets a yellow card.

To rub salt in the wound, Timber looks to have come off worse in the challenge too.
