Great bit of tidying up by Nathan Collins after Ethan Pinnock misses a header that threatens to send two Newcastle players clear. Collins reads the danger well to knock the ball back to his goalkeeper.

Kieran Trippier thinks about a shot but instead opts to float the ball in. It is headed back to him and this time he does shoot, but well over.

Christian Norgaard hacks down Harvey Barnes and is shown a swift yellow card and Newcastle have a free kick in a really good position.

He's been a real mainstay of their recent success Rico Henry. He must have been close to the England squad and can't have been far from Gareth Southgate's thinking for next summer. This doesn't look good at all, it's a concerning sight. We can only hope it isn't as serious as it looks.

The good news is Rico Henry is able to get back up to his feet but he can't continue and hobbles off.

On comes Mads Roerslev.

This doesn't look good for Rico Henry. He appears to twist his knee as he tries to change direction. He's in a lot of pain and Brentford are preparing a substitution.

A better delivery this time by Kieran Trippier but the ball is headed away.

Ben Mee is perhaps fortunate not to be booked as he slides through Bruno Guimaraes.

The free kick is well worked down the right and Anthony Gordon wins a corner.

Yoane Wissa is booked for catching Fabian Schar with a wayward arm.

Schar has a cut lip and needs some treatment.

Another important intervention by Mark Flekken as he gets a glove to Harvey Barnes' dangerous low ball in.

Without that touch by Flekken there were maybe two Newcastle players waiting to prod in.

Bruno Guimaraes is picked out unmarked at the back post from the corner. He heads down towards goal but Mark Flekken denies him from point-blank range with his feet.

Fabian Schar is urged to shoot from 35 yards. He takes up the invitation but his low drive is deflected behind for a corner.

Some great footwork by Anthony Gordon as he skips a couple of challenges on the edge of the Brentford box. It is ultimately for nothing as the ball is worked back to halfway as Newcastle restart their attack.
