FT: Tottenham 2-1 Sheffield United
Sheffield United
Sheffield United manager Paul Heckingbottom to Sky Sports: "Spurs are a very good team, and we had to really defend well but also when we could, we played. We created chances ourselves and up until the very end we limited Spurs to efforts from outside the box.
"Sometimes you've got to accept you're going to give some things away. We defended our box very well and went in front, missed a couple of really good chances ourselves, so to lose a game in that way is really cruel. But it doesn't change our performance.
"Now I want to focus on the performance, we did that today.
"We had to concentrate all game, it was a fatigue thing, the pressure they put on us. They had to take a few more risks so their shape slightly changed. But it's two lapses and we've been beaten 2-1.
"It is what it is, but we've got to focus on the performance. We were close to getting three points, then one and then it slipped away. But like I said to the players, we've got to keep focusing on us and what we do.
"Something needs to be done now. And this is not me moaning, I said it half-time and when we were 1-0 up as well. The focus is on timewasting so the referees are dictating how we play. We set up from the back, then Spurs push forward and then that dictates how we play. But no, we're just told to play long. You can't do it.
"Wes (Foderingham) got a yellow card for handling outside the box and then got threatened with a sending off (for timewasting) you can't do it. The officiating is appalling, and it's not about the football decisions, it's just game management.
"My worry is all the focus is on yellow cards for time wasting and when I talked to the referees they haven't got a clue what I'm talking about. they're officiating the game, they simply do not know the game.
"We need to sort that and sort that quick. It's ruining the spectacle. And then to sum it all up we get Ollie McBurnie sent off for telling the referee someone is pulling his shirt. We've just seen someone lead with an elbow into our goalkeeper who needs stitches and that's the same offence. What's going on, seriously what's going on with our game?"

Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace assistant manager Paddy McCarthy, standing in for Roy Hodgson, speaking to Premier League Productions: "I'm disappointed for the players, the game plan worked for a large spell of the game, but I'm disappointed that we didn't get anything from the game.
"The team shape and the effort were great. We knew it was going to be a tough side, but the boys who stepped in were great.
"The result just leaves a really bitter taste in our mouths."
On Villa's penalty: "If it takes five minutes to make a decision, that tells you everything you need to know."

Manchester United
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag to Sky Sports: "We are disappointed. But it was really small margins. We are so close against a good side. The first 20 minutes was all ours. We created chances but didn't score. We conceded a goal with their first attack. We then had a period in the game that was quite difficult, we fought to get a goal and it was disallowed. So it is difficult in this period. It has not fallen on our side, but we will fight back and if we stick together, play as a team, stick to the rules, we will return."
On what he said at half-time: "There's always some improvements to make, especially the organisation. But is was not our day.
"The second goal was straight after half-time. Second chance second goal, very clinical. It was a setback we did not deal with so good. but we have to keep positive in such moments and stick together and you will get back onto the game.
"You learn many things from such a game. From the mental side, you can keep strong in moments but I have seen some good stuff. the way we created many chances we are just not finishing them, but that will change."
On reaction to Rasmus Hojlund being substituted: "He is coming with a small issue and we have to be careful but the reception of the fans was great. His game was great and the fans embraced it. He was unlucky with the disallowed goal, it would have been a great afternoon for him. It was not the case but he will keep going. He is a strong character as we are as a team and we will push back."
On return to Champions League this week: "It is a great opportunity against a great opponent. We are all looking forward to being back in the Champions League where we belong. But you have to fight for it, prove yourself every time as a team and as an individual".
FT: Aston Villa 3-1 Crystal Palace
Aston Villa
Aston Villa manager Unai Emery speaking to BBC MOTD: "Yes of course today was a difficult match like every one is. We played very well, created chances and didn't concede a lot in our box. But we didn't score [in the first half].
"We played a lot [of other matches] like today and were winning in the first 20 or so minutes. We said at half time to keep going and controlling the game like we were doing. They have a very good team and good players and they did that transition and scored the goal. Then it was a difficult moment.
"We were playing more with our hearts than with our minds in the last 20 minutes and sometimes you need that. At the end we deserved to win. We scored three goals so I'm very happy because after their goal it was a difficult moment and we really reacted very well.
"Jhon Duran is young but he has potential. We have to work with him, give him chances and minutes to take confidence and build experiences. Every minute he's playing is important for him and he's helping us, like with the goal he scored today.
"I respect always the VAR decision so I was waiting.
"We want to play every minute here and to enjoy it. We want to be competitive, to learn and build our team with the players. I am very happy because this three points today is because every player involved - those in the starting XI or on the bench - helped us with good impact."

FT: West Ham 1-3 Man City
West Ham United
West Ham midfielder James Ward-Prowse to BBC Sport: "Disappointing. When you come against a Man City team you'll be up against it and sometimes you have to hold your hands up and say fair play. All of their goals were of real quality, just a shame we couldn't respond."
On his goal: "There was quite a long build up. Micky [Antonio] made a good run and created the space for Vlad [Coufal] to come in and I was confident to get onto the end of it. Diving header - not a lot of those in my collection but I'll take it."
On his change of position at West Ham: "Yeah, sometime I'm a bit higher but I try and be that box-to-box midfielder but I feel I have the license to do both which is good."

FT: Man Utd 1-3 Brighton
Brighton & Hove Albion
Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi to Sky Sports: "We played a great, great game. We deserved to win, we played well. In the first 15, 20 minutes we suffered a lot because Man United played in a different way than we prepared for but after that we played a great game.
"I think the game was changed when we kept the ball. In that moment their pressure was strong and to keep the ball helped us to control the game and then we have four attackers who are very fast and very good.
"We have to keep our style when we are losing, when we are wining. We can't forget our DNA because the game can change and it's bad when the result can change our style. We are working to not lose our characteristic, our quality and to score more goals. We scored three but had many chances to score again."
On his experience with Brighton: "I must admit I feel I know I'm very lucky to be this coach for this team. it's like I dream because I am enjoying it a lot, enjoying to watch my team playing, showing their quality. It's an honour, I'm proud."
On the Europa League starting: "Thursday will be a historic day for us, the fans, the club, the owner. We ant to play we and keep in our head the memory from that day."

Brighton & Hove Albion
Brighton midfielder Pascal Gross to Premier League productions: "We played a good game, we controlled it really well and deserved to win.
"We needed to organise ourselves a little bit at the start as they played a different shape. But after we figured it out we were better defensively and were in control on the ball, found spaces and were dangerous on the attack."
On his goal: "It was a ball in the box, I thought I could get there, to get a yard with a movement and then hit the target."
On working with manager Roberto De Zerbi: "We all enjoy it. We are really hungry, he is really hungry, everyone tries to get better as a team. We are really lucky to have him and we keep going.
On playing in Europe this week: "Very excited. It's our first European game and hopefully it can be a special night at the Amex in front of or fans. We want to start well in the group."
