    Mansfield 1-2 Peterborough

Mansfield, looking to reach the fourth round of the League Cup for only the second time, really should've equalised.

A shot is over the goalkeeper and may have been going in only for Mansfield's Calum Macdonald to try to get the final touch.

Any header down and it's a goal but, from almost under the crossbar, he manages to send it over the top. What a miss.

Can Salford test Burnley or get a strong ending from it instead of playing it out and thinking the game has gone?

That is how it feels at the moment.

Burnley are going to wait and see if Salford commit and they can just pick them off.

    Man Utd 2-0 Crystal Palace

Clearly, nobody will be getting carried away at Manchester United, but this is a positive step in the right direction so far from ERik ten Hag's side.

If they can complete the job, with players making a return from injury they'll be delighted.
