    Man Utd 2-0 Crystal Palace

This is all working out perfectly for Manchester United. Not only are they comfortable and cruising, but some of the lads in need of minutes are getting those but not at breakneck speed.

Not much need for a second half, is there? Burnley have eased up since scoring the third. Well except for the other two or three times they almost scored.

The only downside to the half for the Clarets is the injury to Manuel Benson, who was replaced by Mike Tresor in the first half.

Former Manchester City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

It could have been more goals. Domination and great intensity from Burnley with some quality, it is the defending which has left Salford down.

The second as I said was a wonderful goal and then the third was another set-piece disaster.

Salford have tried to play, but Burnley are really rampant and could have more.

    Man Utd 2-0 Crystal Palace

Roy Hodgson has been there and seen it all in football, so he won't panic here.

But his side are distinctly second best. They've landed a blow yet, not even a jab.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:38 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    Mansfield Town 1-1 Peterborough United

All square at the break. Mansfield scored first through Will Swan's fifth-minute penalty, only for Posh to equalise through Jonson Clarke-Harris' 25-yard free-kick.

As one-sided a tie as you're going to see.

The fans who turned here looking for another upset have had to sit and take it.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:37 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    Ipswich Town 2-2 Wolves

Wolves were 2-0 up and cruising after 15 minutes, after goals from Hwang Hee-chan and Toti, but Ipswich, second in the Championship, fought back excellently with goals from Omari Hutchinson and Freddie Ladapo to leave it at 2-2 after a thrilling first half.

    Exeter 0-0 Luton

All square at the interval with the League One side surviving a couple of scares.

Luton have had the better of the chances but the breakthrough goal has eluded them so far.

    Ipswich Town 2-2 Wolves

Almost a fifth goal in Suffolk. Hwang Hee-chan, who started off the goalscoring early on, does superbly on the left-hand touchline to keep the ball in play and start an attack.

He plays a square pass to Pablo Sarabia, but he can only drag his strike wide from 18 yards out. That was a good chance for Wolves.

    Exeter City 0-0 Luton Town

    Brent Pilnick
BBC Sport at St James Park

Luton have had the lion's share of the ball in this tie so far, but have found it hard to break through their League One opponents.

Cauley Woodrow hit the post early on, while Mads Andersen, Luke Berry and Elijah Adebayo have gone close.

Demetri Mitchell has looked dangerous for Exeter down the right but Tim Krul has yet to be truly tested in the Luton goal.

  11. Postpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    Salford 0-3 Burnley

Burnley could have had six here.

Jacob Bruun Larsen whips a ball across the face of goal and Wilson Odobert hammers over at the back post. Should score.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    Bradford 0-1 Middlesbrough

Emmanuel Latte Lath's second Middlesbrough goal is the difference at the break.

    Salford 0-3 Burnley

    Michael Brown

Neil Wood will not want anymore goals and this is a test you want to put your players against, but when it is like this it is tough.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:33 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    Port Vale 0-0 Sutton

Sutton will be pretty pleased. Vale less so.

  15. Postpublished at 20:33 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    Ipswich Town 2-2 Wolves

Ipswich's Dominic Ball knocks a ball backwards but his goalkeeper Vaclav Hladky, under pressure, picks it up to hand Wolves an indirect free-kick, inside the penalty area about 14 yards out.

But Wolves can't make the glorious chance count. Ipswich, with pretty much the whole team on the goalline, block the shot and it stays 2-2.

  16. Postpublished at 20:31 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    Man Utd 2-0 Crystal Palace

Palace yet to have an effort at the United goal. They've only had one touch in the home box so far.

Wonderful to see a snap of Garnacho, Pellistri and Hannibal celebrating a goal together. Wonder how many times we'll see that in the future

    Simon Stone

What a superb out-swinging corner that was from Mason Mount.

Raphael Varane's run took the Crystal Palace defence away and allowed Casemiro the space he needed to send his header into the corner.

    A textbook set piece.

  19. Postpublished at 20:28 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    Bradford 0-1 Middlesbrough

The ball comes loose in the Middlesbrough box but Bradford can't take advantage and the visitors scramble the ball clear.

    Salford 0-3 Burnley

    Emlyn Begley
    BBC Sport at Peninsula Stadium

Anass Zaroury has a shot tipped over the bar by Alex Cairns which is actually the first Burnley shot that hasn’t ended in a goal.

Zaroury has had a hand in all three goals but he’d love to score one himself.
