    Casemiro

    United are flying now!

From a corner won by a superb tackle to deny Facundo Pellistri hitting a second, the home side do double their lead.

It's way too easy for Casemiro to rise and glance a header into the far corner.

That opening goal has given United a much-needed hit of confidence. They're zipping the ball around at pace now. Palace need to dig in here.

Game of the evening is at Portman Road, with Championship Ipswich Town fighting back from 2-0 down after only 15 minutes.

Freddie Ladapo has made it 2-2, collecting the ball, spinning and firing past Daniel Bentley, although the keeper got a hand to the strike but couldn't keep it out.

An equaliser had been coming as well as Omari Hutchinson, who got Ipswich's first goal, had seen a bending free-kick superbly tipped over just before Ladapo's goal.

Burnley are cruising and sitting back now. Alex Cairns is trying to go direct, but even the direct ball Burnley are first too it.

  5. Henderson's sad walkpublished at 20:24 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    Man Utd 1-0 Crystal Palace

    Simon Stone

Dean Henderson had a long chat with the Crystal Palace medical staff before making his way slowly to the visitors' dressing room.

Henderson's body language seemed to suggest he wanted to stay on but Palace were not willing to take the rest and potentially make the injury worse.

He clearly felt something as he went to clear the ball.

  6. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:24 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    Salford 0-3 Burnley

It's almost 4-0 as Mike Tresor - who is on for Manuel Benson - slots in low, but the man who set him up, Jay Rodriguez, is offside in the move.

    Ipswich Town 1-2 Wolves

Ipswich Town made a shocking start, falling two behind after only 15 minutes, but have responded well with Omari Hutchinson pulling a goal back.

The hosts are pushing for an equaliser too, with Freddie Ladapo and Lee Evans both shooting over from just outside the penalty area.

    Alejandro Garnacho

United have bossed possession and now they have the lead!

It's a nicely-worked one as the ball is fired over to the right for Facundo Pellistri. He touches off for Diogo Dalot, who's low ball is converted by Alejandro Garnacho.

    Exeter City 0-0 Luton Town

    Brent Pilnick
BBC Sport at St James Park

Luton seem to be getting closer and closer to scoring here, but as yet Exeter's defence hasn't been breached.

Mads Andersen headed wide for the Hatters before Elijah Adebayo and Luke Berry had efforts cleared off the line from a corner.

At the other end James Scott went close for City, while Tim Krul made a routine save from Demetri Mitchell during a five-minute spell when Exeter had some decent possession.

Burnley are getting around passing with ease.

The second goal is a wonderful goal, but then the third is awful defending and you cannot do that at this level.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:19 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    Man Utd 0-0 Crystal Palace

Dean Henderson's return to Man Utd hasn't lasted long. He's pulled something booting a ball down field and has to come off.

    On comes Sam Johnstone.

    Exeter 0-0 Luton

Last-ditch defending from Exeter as Luton turn up the pressure at St James Park.

It's an old-fashioned goalmouth scramble after a corner from the right, twice the ball is hooked goalwards before Viljami Sinisalo is forced into a smart save.

    Exeter survive.

  13. goal

GOAL - Mansfield 1-1 Peterboroughpublished at 30 mins

    Jonson Clarke-Harris (Peterborough)

League One Peterborough pull level against their League Two hosts. Jonson Clarke-Harris takes a free-kick from 25 yards out and Christy Pym in the home goal should do a lot better.

The ball bounces just in front of the goalkeeper, deceives him and ends up in the net.

  14. Controlled Man Utdpublished at 20:18 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    Man Utd 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

This is a very controlled performance from Manchester United so far.

Other than the Sofyan Amrabat shot that sailed well over Dean Henderson's goal, the hosts have not threatened the Crystal Palace goal.

However, they are enjoying long periods of possession, which they will hope will lead to opportunities.

Whisper it quietly because it is not fashionable to praise him but Harry Maguire has been very accomplished so far and made one vital interception to prevent Jeffrey Schlupp getting a clear sight at goal.

  15. Postpublished at 20:17 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    Man Utd 0-0 Crystal Palace

Not the most exciting of ties. At least not yet.

Neither side have had much in terms of clear sights of goal.

  16. Postpublished at 20:16 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    Exeter 0-0 Luton

It's Luton's turn to go close now as Alfie Doughty whips in a free-kick from wide on the right.

Mads Andersen is unmarked as he meets it but heads just wide.

  17. goal

    Omari Hutchinson (Ipswich)

A way back into it for Ipswich Town. Omari Hutchinson, on loan from Chelsea, collects a pass from Marcus Harness and fires an excellent shot past Daniel Bentley.

We're moving into Simpson's 'stop, he's already dead' gif territory now.

Dara O'Shea couldn't miss from there.

Salford fans are singing 'we've got the ball'...

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:14 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    Bradford 0-1 Middlesbrough

Harry Lewis might be disappointed with the goal he conceded but the Bradford keeper has quickly made amends.

Middlesbrough attack down the right again, Tommy Smith swings in the cross and it's met by Emmanuel Latte Lath just a few yards out.

But it's kept out by the brilliant reactions of Lewis. Super stop.

  20. goal

GOAL - Salford 0-3 Burnleypublished at 20:13 British Summer Time 26 September 2023

    Dara O’Shea

It goes from bad to worse for Salford, who are getting hammered by Burnley!

This is all a bit of a mess as Anass Zaroury whips in a free-kick from near the byline on the left. Does it take a flick off a defender? Is it a bit of opportunism? Does Dara O'Shea get a flick? It's the latter.

That's pretty much game over already, right?
