England 1-0 Haiti
Lauren James has definitely added something to the England attack since coming on and she tries her luck with a shot from the edge of the area, but it is a bit too far out to trouble Kerly Theus.

Haiti have been physical and disruptive. We have seen a lot of England players after a tackle or a challenge be slow to get back on their feet. They seem a bit frustrated.
I think we might need to see a few more changes from Sarina Wiegman.

Twenty minutes remaining as England come forward again looking for that elusive second.
Lauren James plays a brilliant ball to Chloe Kelly on the edge of the box but the Manchester City forward sweeps her shot wide of the far post.

Gosh, England are missing Williamson's leadership, composure, distribution and link up play in the middle of the park. Someone needs to grip this match for England.

Harry: England worrying signs about lack of fitness noteable number of players looking tired already. Been fortunate here and moments of lack of discipline

It feels like this is just business time for England in terms of trying to see the game out but it seems like it's too early to start doing that.
We have really struggled to see the midfield be consistent in retaining the ball, especially in build-up play.

Alessia Russo races back to halt a Haiti attack and then wins England a free kick as she is fouled. Good determined play by the forward.

England creating lots and playing well. Haiti have been far better than I thought to be fair and we definitely need a second they do look like they could nick one. Entertaining game so far

Regarding the performance of England so far.Based on over sixty years experience in such matters...a scrappy odd goal win in the first game is acceptable.Firing on all cylinders in the first game means possible burn out later on in the tournament. One game at a time...a marathon not a sprint.

Millie Bright was really trying to force that shot. We have seen it from a few players. She snatched at the shot, is that the occasion?
England just need a result.
England 1-0 Haiti
Millie Bright fluffs an opportunity from the corner as she fires a first time effort well over. Had to do better there really.
England 1-0 Haiti
Fantastic leap by Haiti goalkeeper Kerly Theus as she gets up to tip Alessia Russo's header over the bar.
Theus is 5ft 4ins but has produced some really good saves in this game.

It's really poor from England. It's sloppy in possession, taking too long to play the pass and then getting caught in possession.
England 1-0 Haiti
England are exposed again at the back as Melchie Dumornay bends a pass behind the defence and Nerilia Mondesir is in. She hesitates, giving time for England to get back and then her pass to Roselord Borgella is cut out.

Sarina Wiegman knows what Lauren James can bring. This Haitian side has been so resolute in their defending, particularly in the midfield. It needs unlocking.

I don't think there's a single person in this stadium supporting England that is shocked to see Lauren James...
She gets a decent reception.
England 1-0 Haiti
Sarina Wiegman makes her first change of the game as Lauren Hemp, who has been booked, is replaced by Lauren James.
England certainly need to find a way to make something happen and James is certainly capable of that.

Alessia Russo is doing her best to get the crowd going again with those two quick-fire efforts. They were straight at goalkeeper Kerly Theus but she has played very well, matching Russo's shots so far. The atmosphere has definitely dipped.

What great fight and determination from Alessia Russo to pick up the ball on the edge of the area and have a shot on goal.
England 1-0 Haiti
A couple of really good efforts by Alessia Russo, first cutting in from the left before her low effort towards the near post is saved and then her powerful strike is pushed behind by Kerly Theus.
England then win a couple of corners but they come to nothing.
England 1-0 Haiti
Nerilia Mondesir thumps a shot from 30 yards really high and really wide but she then immediately grimaces in pain before dropping to pitch. She is then helped off the pitch to receive treatment.
Haiti are currently down to 10 players while their captain is looked at.
England 1-0 Haiti
This has been a really encouraging start to the second half by Haiti and they work the ball well down the right before Melchie Dumornay is tackled by Millie Bright. She thinks the ball is going out of play but it bounces back off the corner flag and Dumornay picks up possession but can't get a cross in.
