Khadija Shaw, who has been one of the brightest sparks in this match, is hobbling to the side of the pitch for treatment and looks to have a right ankle injury. Can she get back on? Every Jamaica fan hopes it is something that can be easily fixed.

    France 0-0 Jamaica

France are sitting with 72% of possession and have never been involved in a goalless draw at a Women's World Cup. Ten minutes plus injury time to maintain that stat.

That's the first time that we've seen intricate link-up play between Diani and Le Sommer.

You can see the space is just starting to grow.

But Jamaica continue to defend really well, making it very difficult for France to create clear cut chances.

    France 0-0 Jamaica

Jamaica conceded 12 goals in their three matches at the 2019 World Cup, including a 5-0 hammering by Italy, but they're less than 20 minutes away from holding the fifth best team in the world to a draw.

Can France brighten things up? Almost. Some good link-up play from Kadidiatou Diani and Eugenie le Sommer who crosses / shoots left-footed but Rebecca Spencer does well to hang on to the ball.

What a point it would be for Jamaica if they hang on to it.

You can probably just about tell how much it's raining at the Sydney Football Stadium in this photo and there are a few fans on the front rows getting a proper soaking.

We're right next door to the Sydney Cricket Ground - where fans of that particular sport are hoping the weather will be similar at Old Trafford!

Very grey and cloudy here in Manchester, but not raining at the moment.

Which could be good news for England cricket fans as they look to wrap up the fourth Test in the Ashes.

Once this match has finished, you can follow all the cricket latest with our page here.

But don't go yet, there's no play yet at Old Trafford and 20 minutes of drama coming up in the football.

The rain is so heavy in Sydney, it's starting to remind me of Manchester.

A double change from Herve Renard and Aston Villa's Kenza Dali and Vicki Becho, a 19-year-old forward at Lyon, come on to replace Amel Majri and Clara Mateo for France.

Dali almost makes an instant impact with a lovely flighted ball to the back post but Kadidiatou Diani, closely marked, can't send the header goalwards.

Several attempts at a Mexican wave have fallen flat in this second half, and been greeted with jeers by the majority of the crowd.

    Good to see.

France are having a lot of the ball but Jamaica are showing they could still win this. A quick burst forwards ends with a cross finding the head of Cheyna Matthews, but Pauline Peyraud-Magnin dives to her left and safely gathers.

France have been able to get into Jamaica's defensive third a little easier as the half has gone on.

Karchaoui the left back has started to drift into the midfield area in order to get on the ball and create chances.

Paris St-Germain midfielder Grace Geyoro looks to wriggle free and create space in the penalty area but she is crowded out and then the flag goes up anyway.

France have been much better since the restart, but can they turn the possession into a goal? Jamaica under sustained pressure.

    France 0-0 Jamaica

France's Kadidiatou Diani tries to create a chance with a backheel in the penalty area, but, not for the first time today, Allyson Swaby is well positioned and reads the game well to make sure it stays 0-0.

Jamaica lost all their matches in their only other World Cup appearance four years ago so can they get a positive result for the first time?

I was saying the same about South Africa earlier on today in their match against Sweden when they led, before conceding twice, including a last-minute winner, to suffer a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to the Swedes.

The longer this goes on, the more you're looking to the bench if you're a French supporter.

They are knocking on the door but need an attacking push and they have a few decent options.

Aston Villa's Kenza Dali has been in excellent form, while West Ham's Viviane Asseyi is also available.

Lyon teenager Vicki Becho is a bit of a wildcard too, while Chelsea full-back Eve Perisset is strong on set-pieces.

You'd be surprised if this stays goalless.

Eugenie le Sommer has been much better this half and manages to dig out a cross from the right side near the byeline and the cross finds Kadidiatou Diani at the back post, but with a Jamaica defender challenging in the air, can only head it wide.
