Moussa Diaby
And there it is!
Villa hit back in the most ruthless and timely fashion. Lucas Digne breaks away down the left into space. He sends the ball infield to the unmarked Moussa Diaby and his finish is low and precise and finds the bottom corner.
There is VAR check to see if Ollie Watkins, in an offside position, was blocking the keeper, but the tech guys say no.
Burnley 1-2 Aston Villa
Next goal, if one is to come, is crucial. Villa get it and the Burnley bubble bursts. But if the home side level this up they will have some serious momentum behind them to go on and win it.
Sheffield United 0-0 Man City
Corrrr that's really close! Jack Grealish backs the defence up and tees up Rodri, who slams a shot across goal and about a yard wide of the far post. It's incoming. Surely.

Turf Moor has finally come alive, whatever Vincent Kompany said to his troops at half-time has worked, they look a side transformed.

Comical reading some of the Haaland criticism, doubtless from fans of teams who would rip your hand off if he was offered to them. Seem to remember a fair few writing him off after not scoring in the Community Shield last year, how did that pan out?

Save!
Robin Olsen has to scamper and dive to save a header from deep from Hannes Delcriox, who met the corner with a powerful forehead.
Sheffield United 0-0 Man City
City assistant manager Juanma Lillo is deep in conversation on his hands free, to Pep Guardiola we presume.
'PUT IN THE NET', he's probably being told. One from the Paul Ince chalkboard.
Burnley 1-2 Aston Villa
More panic at the back from Villa as Burnley press high.
The home side win the ball and feed in Sander Berge, who sees a driving run ended by the ball being touched behind for a corner.
Burnley 1-2 Aston Villa
This is a barnstorming game now.
It was too one-sided in the first half for us neutrals. But Burnley are in the visitors' faces now. The volume is up.
It could go either way.

They're getting deeper and deeper, are Sheffield United in this second half.
Sheffield United 0-0 Man City
There must be 20 players in the Sheffield United area as Jack Grealish has a shot blocked, Rodri can't get one away and it's out for a corner. Brilliant resilience and defending from the hosts, if a tough watch for their fans.
Burnley 1-2 Aston Villa
Villa remind us of the quality that gave them that 2-0 lead in the first place. They work an opening for Moussa Diaby on the left and his driven low cross is hacked away before Matty Cash can smash in his hat-trick goal.
Burnley 1-2 Aston Villa
Lyle Foster is the first player representing South Africa to score a Premier League goal since Steven Pienaar netted for Everton versus Hull City on 19 October 2013 (2-1 home victory).
Burnley 1-2 Aston Villa
Sander Berge makes a good run into space in the box and is found but his pull back towards the penalty spot is hacked clear.
Soon after, there's uncertainty at the back from Villa as Pau Torres punts a clearing ball into the air before some calm is restored to get it back to Robin Olsen.

That's an opportunity Erling Haaland should and would have expected to score. That's the first time we've seen Manchester City really move the ball at pace.

It was a great ball in from Kyle Walker, great movement from Haaland, but he was always stretching to reach it and couldn't keep his shot on target.
Another chance gone!
Burnley 1-2 Aston Villa
Finally, we're starting to see why this was such a tough place for teams to come last season. Just one defeat remember in the whole Championship season.
Villa still lead but it's looking precarious.

Sheffield United are doing what a lot of old school players have been suggesting for a while, absolutely smash Haaland. Let him know you are there. Get in his space and his head. The lad is rattled. Things you love to see! Wouldn’t last five minutes against Keown or Campbell.

Sheffield United 0-0 Man City
Manchester City are at 84% possession so far this afternoon. It's bordering on the ridiculous really.
Oh and that should be 1-0! Erling Haaland is having a rare off day, putting a shot wide from eight yards. Shinned it wide.
