    Nottingham Forest 1-1 Burnley

Now we see Divock Origi. He was so often a super-sub for Liverpool so is it made for him to make a telling contribution to get Forest a winner on his debut since his loan move from AC Milan?

Goalscorer Callum Hudson-Odoi goes off to a great reception from the home fans.

Ryan Yates also comes on for Orel Mangala.

Forest want a penalty as Morgan Gibbs-White's shot hits the arm of Josh Cullen in the 18-yard box. But Cullen was at close range to the strike and would've had no chance of getting out the way and nothing is given.

Can they go on and win it?

We had a VAR check to see if Taiwo Awoniyi had handled but the goal is given. It was too good a goal for it to be ruled out. One-one with 30 minutes ish left. Anyone's game now.

What a strike this is. It's come out of nowhere really. Burnley had control. It shows at this level it just takes one piece of absolute genius.

It's all about Callum Hudson-Odoi. That's how he'd have pictured it in his dreams and he's pulled it off. Welcome to the City Ground.

A goal on his Nottingham Forest Premier League debut for Callum Hudson-Odoi, and what a goal it is too.

He gets the ball, shifts it on to his right foot just outside the penalty area and whips it across goal, it curls in off the right-hand post. Brilliant.

I am enjoying this game but I have to say that it is high on passion and effort but low on quality. I don’t want to sound patronising but I can’t see either of these teams avoiding the bottom 5. Forest in their second season are more likely to survive but a home loss to Burnley would be a big blow.

Nuno Tavares, on loan from Arsenal, is on for Forest and off goes Gonzalo Montiel.

  15. CLOSE!published at 49 mins

Luca Koleosho continues tormenting Gonzalo Montiel down the left and that helps earn Burnley a corner. That falls to Charlie Taylor, but he fires narrowly wide on the volley.

  16. A summer bargainpublished at 47 mins

    Nottingham Forest 0-1 Burnley

Burnley's Luca Koleosho is a 19-year-old left winger born in the United States, who he represented at Under-15 level, although he could also choose to play for Canada, Nigeria or Italy. He has represented the Italians at Under-20 level.

He joined Burnley in the summer for only £2.6m from Spanish side Espanyol. For only £2.6m, this could be the best bit of transfer business from anyone in the summer. He's looked sensational.

If it stays like this, Burnley will jump from 19th to 17th and move out of the bottom three. Another couple of goals would take them above Wolves and up another place too.

  20. 'Forest lacked quality in final third'published at 20:41 British Summer Time 18 September 2023

    Nottingham Forest 0-1 Burnley

    Jamie Carragher
Former Liverpool defender on Sky Sports

Nottingham Forest had enough transition moments. I still think there's enough there for them. They have just lacked quality in the final third.
