  2. VAR

    Burnley 1-3 Chelsea

Hang on.... oh no, hang on.... the game has restarted with a VAR check still ongoing!

The ref has stopped play again to allow for this check. This could really lob a cat in amongst the pigeons - not in this game but in light of everything that has been spoken about this week!

It is a check against Nicolas Jackson I think, to see if he's interfering.

  3. Disappointing Rashfordpublished at 16:25 British Summer Time 7 October 2023

    Man Utd 0-1 Brentford

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

It has been another disappointing afternoon for Marcus Rashford.

The England man has scored once this season and didn't look like changing that tally today.

He is so far removed from the player who was in such blistering form after the World Cup.

    Raheem Sterling

Super finish! Could well be game over!

Chelsea have come out swinging this half. They win the ball in midfield through Moises Caicedo, who sets Conor Gallagher away. He finds Raheem Sterling with a neat pass and the forward does the rest with a low finish across goal and in.

  8. 'No more than Everton and Doucoure deserve'published at 16:23 British Summer Time 7 October 2023

    Everton 3-0 Bournemouth

    Stephen Warnock
Former England and Liverpool defender on Final Score

    Everton have been superb!

The balance that they have in the side, McNeil off one wing and Harrison off the other, is really allowing runners forward off those players, knowing they have the quality to win those one v one battles.

Doucoure has deserved that goal too, supported Calvert-Lewin so well today in the midfield.

My fear as a Burnley fan this season is we aren't up to it at the back. I have no idea why Roberts was dropped for Vitinho, he's hardly played and his lack of game time has just been shown by giving away the penalty to Chelsea.

    Fulham 0-0 Sheff Utd

We're getting more chances now in this game and Fulham charge forward through Willian, who feeds Alex Iwobi but his strike on the edge of the box deflects wide.

  12. 'Fernandez has to trouble Trafford'published at 16:22 British Summer Time 7 October 2023

    Burnley 1-2 Chelsea

    Izzy Christiansen
Former Everton and England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Enzo Fernandez has to at least trouble James Trafford from that range. We've seen Frank Lampard wearing the number eight shirt for years and scoring goals like that for breakfast.

    Fernandez needs to dispatch that.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:21 British Summer Time 7 October 2023

    Burnley 1-2 Chelsea

Burnley have to do something. They're second best.

Vincent Kompany turns to his bench with a triple change.

On come Aaron Ramsey, Luca Koleosho and Connor Roberts. Vitinho, Josh Cullen and Mike Tresor depart.

Dwight McNeil does well down the left again but think time Abdoulaye Doucoure can't find the target. That was a chance!

Everton fans can't believe what they are witnessing here.

Three goals. At home! And you would think that is three points in the bag.

  16. CLOSE!published at 16:19 British Summer Time 7 October 2023

    Fulham 0-0 Sheff Utd

Sheffield United's best chance so far!

A deflected Oliver Norwood shot results in a corner, which is sent right onto Oli McBurnie's head but he puts it straight at Bernd Leno.

  17. Postpublished at 16:19 British Summer Time 7 October 2023

    Burnley 1-2 Chelsea

Chelsea are so much better now. They're pressing high, they're zipping the ball around. They win the ball back as Nicolas Jackson's pressure forces James Trafford into a poor clearance. Two passes later, Enzo Fernandez is able to curl a shot on target that is saved. He should do better.

  18. goal

GOAL - Everton 3-0 Bournemouthpublished at 16:19 British Summer Time 7 October 2023

    Abdoulaye Doucoure (60 mins)

    Game over, surely.

Abdoulaye Doucoure gets his third goal in five games, thumping in a rebound from close range.

Bournemouth fans are unhappy as they think Amadou Onana has fouled in the build-up.

But it's well finished by Everton - Dwight McNeil's cross picking out Jack Harrison, whose header is saved before Onana puts in the rebound.

It's confirmed by VAR and Everton lead 3-0 at Goodison.

Spare us the De Gea revisionism. He cost us points multiple times last year. Onana is struggling but De Gea was not the answer.

Any chance that Brentford get the credit they deserve for nullifying Man United, especially with so many first team players out injured?!

    Everton 2-0 Bournemouth

Dominic Solanke fails to get on the end of Phillip Billing's one-touch pass and gets a yellow for stopping Everton's counter-attack.

The Toffees are still creating chances and Dominic Calvert-Lewin chips one over the bar.
