Cameron Archer's pace is a cause for concern for Manchester United and he is able to turn defence into attack as he breaks into the opposition half. He gets to the edge of the box, plays a one-two with Oli McBurnie before his shot deflects off a defender and is then pushed away by Andre Onana.

    Inches!

A ball into the box is directed across the face of goal by Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund sticks out a boot but just can't quite connect.

Manchester United's players were clearly telling referee Michael Oliver than Scott McTominay had his arms down, not above his head or outstretched.

But the Scotland midfielder also moved into the ball, which is why the penalty was given.

If he hadn't, he might have got away with it.

If the other players cared half as much about the club as Mctominay does we might actually have a good team

Ashwin: Onana was supposed to have been signed to save penalties - why didn't he save this one?!

    Oli McBurnie pen

    A great penalty!

Oli McBurnie's record from the spot isn't exactly the best but this is a really good spot kick as he hammers it into the sidenetting.

Andre Onana dived the right way, but no chance he was getting to that.

Scott McTominay has now scored Manchester United's last three goals.

His latest effort was similar to his first against Brentford a fortnight ago, quick thinking to adjust his body and strike a ball dropping down.

Wes Foderingham can't have seen it though.

    Scott McTominay

    A goalscoring machine!

Out of nothing, Manchester United are ahead and it is Scott McTominay again.

Bruno Fernandes lifts the ball into the box for McTominay, whose chest control takes it away from his marker and, although his shot his scuffed, it bounces past a bemused Wes Foderingham.

Not the prettiest goal you will ever see, but Manchester United will take it.

That Andre Onana 'injury' a few minutes ago was the trigger for Erik ten Hag to call all his players to the touchline for a chat.

I wonder if it was a pre-planned break?

Manchester United are struggling to get any decent possession at the moment.

A loose pass in midfield by Manchester United and Cameron Archer is onto it. He races towards the box before sending a low strike towards goal that Andre Onana pushes away, but needs Diogo Dalot to sweep up with Gustavo Hamer lurking.

Scott McTominay thumps clear a ball into the box but there's no Manchester United player hanging about anywhere near the halfway line, so Sheffield United pick up possession and start another attack.

All a bit disjointed from the visitors so far. No rhythm.

After a minute or so, Onana is back up on his feet and appears to be okay. One to keep an eye on, however.
