    West Ham 0-1 Everton

Dominic Calvert-Lewin gets in behind and almost has a second but he clatters his shot against the bar.

The offside flag does go up after the fact but it's another warning for West Ham.

Everton have created this match's only true chances so far.

A lovely Liverpool goal. The move starts on the left flank inside their own half before being switched to the right wing.

Mohamed Salah, on the corner of the penalty area, plays a perfectly-weighted pass inside to the charging Dominik Szoboszlai, he pulls it back from the byeline and Darwin Nunez is there to finish into the roof of the net.

We West Ham fans will have nothing but love for David Moyes, but now is the time for us to part ways. We play narrow minded, defensive football with a team built to attack. To go to the next level we need to move past dinosaur tactics and into the modern game.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:34 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    West Ham 0-1 Everton

Change for West Ham. James Ward-Prowse comes off. Tomas Soucek is on.

  5. 'A good away performance from Everton'published at 14:33 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    West Ham 0-1 Everton

    James Collins
Former West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's been a good away performance so far. They have kept the ball and scored when they have had to, defended when they have had to. They will be hoping they can go and get another goal in the latter stages and make it 2-0.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 14:33 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    West Ham 0-1 Everton

Lucas Paqueta gets booked for dissent. It's been that kind of game for West Ham.

Marginally the better side in the first half, and falling behind on the break in the second.

  7. goal

GOAL - Liverpool 1-0 Nottingham Forestpublished at 31 mins

    Diogo Jota

    Liverpool lead at Anfield.

They have a three on two chance, Mohamed Salah plays it to Darwin Nunez and he shoots first-time across goal.

Goalkeeper Matt Turner parries the ball but only straight to Diogo Jota and he finishes into the unguarded net.

A lovely touch then from Jota and the Liverpool players as they run to the bench and hold up a shirt with the name Luis Diaz on it, in support of their team-mate, whose parents had recently reportedly been kidnapped in Colombia.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 14:32 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    Aston Villa 1-0 Luton

Aston Villa midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo gets a needless yellow card for a late tackle in the middle.

The first blip in Villa's otherwise superb first half.

  9. Postpublished at 14:31 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    Liverpool 0-0 Nottingham Forest

Liverpool's best chance. Mohamed Salah plays the ball through from the right touchline, Forest defender Murillo slips and that enables Darwin Nunez to strike at goal from a tight angle but Matt Turner is positioned well to parry the effort behind.

The corner from the left finds a leaping Nunez but he can only send the header over.

  11. 'Better from West Ham'published at 14:30 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    West Ham 0-1 Everton

    James Collins
Former West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Better from West Ham and better from Bowen. I think David Moyes would be happy if they were losing the ball, but trying to make things happen.

  12. Postpublished at 14:30 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    West Ham 0-1 Everton

West Ham want a penalty as the ball is headed against the arm of an Everton defender who is standing about a yard away from the ball.

It would have been very harsh and VAR rightly doesn't overturn the referee's call of no penalty.

Villa to do a Leicester this season? Unlikely but in serious contention for top 4 if we can sustain this form. We look like we can beat anyone!

  16. goal

GOAL - Brighton 1-0 Fulhampublished at 25 mins

    Evan Ferguson

Brighton lead and it is a lovely finish from Evan Ferguson.

Igor Julio and Pascal Gross are involved in the build-up, it is played into Ferguson's feet and he has the space and composure to take a touch and calmly stroke the ball low past Bernd Leno for the opening goal.

    Liverpool 0-0 Nottingham Forest

Trent Alexander-Arnold goes for power from 25 yards out and hits a beautiful strike. Forest's Ibrahim Sangare is in the way though, takes the ball in the face and hits the turf, needing some medical attention.

A painful one, but an excellent block.

Liverpool with 80% of possession but still not really tested Matt Turner in the Forest goal.

I don't think Moyes deserves to go. But he has to understand that he has the talent in his squad to play a more constructive football. He cannot be stuck to a one-minded concept of football.

  19. 'Great save from Areola'published at 14:24 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    West Ham 0-1 Everton

    James Collins
Former West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's poor from West Ham. It is a long ball up to Calvert-Lewin and if it is not for Areola, they are 2-0 down. Great save.

  20. CLOSE!published at 14:24 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    West Ham 0-1 Everton

Everton almost grab a second on the break. A long ball is flicked on by Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Abdoulaye Doucoure runs on to it, skidding a shot goalwards which is only just tipped behind by West Ham keeper Alphonse Areola.
