They almost look, West Ham, as if they haven't got any ideas.

Certainly, the lack of quality is there to see.

Lovely work from Kaoru Mitoma, twisting and turning to create space from Timothy Castagne, he lays it off to Adam Lallana who tries to spin, but the tackle comes in.

The ball falls invitingly for Carlos Baleba but he can only shoot wastefully over the bar. Simon Adingra then has another chance for the Seagulls but again it sails over the top.

Aston Villa should be 1-0 ahead.

Matty Cash has acres down the right and he rolls the ball across to Ollie Watkins, unmarked in the area.

The Villa striker has to score, but he underestimates Luton keeper Thomas Kaminski who scampers across to keep out the England forward.

Watkins has his head in his hands. He knows just how big that chance was.

It's a great finish. Lovely bit of skill on the edge of the box. He sold both defenders with a Cruyff turn and it's a great finish.

You have got to say, Everton probably deserve it.

There already looks to be a bit more urgency from West Ham.

I would like to see more of that. Especially with the players they have in their team, I think people like Kudus would really thrive if they play more on the front foot.
