  1. 'Two teams that are fighting to lose'published at 14:08 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

    James Collins
Former West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

[The fan I spoke to at half-time] described this game as 'two teams that are fighting to lose'.

    I think that's a pretty accurate analogy.

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

As the bubbles fall West Ham race forward. Jarrod Bowen collects the ball on the edge of the area, cuts inside, but his curling shot is blocked by the leg of an Everton defender.

    A much better, livelier start.

  3. 'It's been really poor'published at 14:07 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

    Roy Keane
Former Manchester United midfielder on Sky Sports

It's been a really poor, but that Harrison chance in the first half was a really good opportunity for Everton. They have to take those chances.

  4. KICK-OFFpublished at 14:07 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

And we're back for the second half at London Stadium. No changes at the the break.

  5. CLOSE!published at 14:06 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    Aston Villa 0-0 Luton

    Almost 1-0 Villa!

The home side play some brilliant stuff as Moussa Diaby crosses for Ollie Watkins who lays the ball off to Nicolò Zaniolo.

The Italian has to score, he's not too far out, but guides his effort narrowly wide.

  6. Postpublished at 14:06 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    Liverpool 0-0 Nottingham Forest

Liverpool are dominating the possession at Anfield and they have the first look at goal. Mohamed Salah, close to the right touchline, lifts a ball over the Forest defence and Darwin Nunez looks to catch it on the volley from a tight angle.

But he can't get a clean connection and it's collected by Forest keeper Matt Turner.

    Aston Villa 0-0 Luton

    Aston Villa start well.

Lucas Digne drives down the right and feeds a pass into the middle. It all gets a little scrappy with the ball eventually cleared to John McGinn, but the midfielder blasts a shot over the bar.

  8. KICK-OFFpublished at 14:01 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    And we're off.

Aston Villa v Luton, Brighton v Fulham and Liverpool v Nottingham Forest all get under way.

Andy: The fact we're huffing and puffing against a side as poor as this Everton team is a great illustration of why many fans want Moyes to go. We'll always be "OK" but never exciting to watch and never good enough to finish higher than 7th or 8th

Neither David Moyes or Sean Dyche will be particularly impressed with their side's performance at the break.

Thankfully for us, we've got three more Premier League matches about to get under way.

    Fingers crossed for some goals.

  12. 'Frustration creeping in'published at 13:53 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    HT: West Ham 0-0 Everton

    James Collins
Former West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

You can feel a little bit of frustration coming from the West Ham fans.

This is about as attacking a team that David Moyes could have picked so there is a little bit of frustration that West Ham aren't doing more here.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:51 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

No proper chances at all so far. Let's move on.

  16. 'West Ham struggling for a foothold'published at 13:48 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

    James Collins
Former West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

This has got so scrappy since the flare-up. No one can get a hold of the ball and it's become very scrappy.

West Ham are struggling to get a foothold and then when they do get the ball back off Everton there are so many numbers defending.

  17. Postpublished at 13:47 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

This game has not caught fire. It's not even smouldering.

Neither side has managed to build up any sustained attacking pressure, illustrated by the swathes of red on the heat map of the game.

That shows how both keepers and the two defences have seen most of the ball so far.

It's so depressing watching Everton that even the ball's deflated.

    Five minutes added on.

Groans from some fans inside London Stadium, this half has been that bad.

  20. 'Quality is lacking'published at 13:46 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

    James Collins
Former West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Everton are doing really well. They are defending deep and breaking and West Ham are struggling to break them down.

It's just that little bit of quality that is needed to create chances and give the fans something to shout about because it is quite quiet here as well.
