  1. CLOSE!published at 15:24 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Hibernian 0-0 St Johnstone

Nice work from Hibs right-back Lewis Miller, who strides forward then picks out Jair Tavares with a zipping pass. The Portuguese winger takes a touch at the edge of the box then fires a rising shot just over.

    Dundee 1-0 Kilmarnock

    Jane Lewis
    BBC Scotland at Dens Park

First blood to the apprentice here at Dens and, at times, the Kilmarnock manager has looked a frustrated man. The arms have gone up in the air as he's seen his side give the ball away in dangerous positions and now he's watched Dundee, managed his old side-kick, go one up thanks to Bakayoko being completely unmarked as he put the home side ahead.

  3. Postpublished at 15:20 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

St Mirren 1-0 Heart of Midlothian

Best move of the game for Hearts - and they should be level.

Nathaniel Atkinson finds himself in space down the right and picks out the unmarked Liam Boyce, but the striker's goal-bound shot is blocked by Alex Gogic.

  4. Postpublished at 15:19 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Hibernian 0-0 St Johnstone

Hibs forward Adam Le Fondre bangs a header on target, but it's straight at Dimitar Mitov and the goalkeeper makes a meal of the save with a very awkward punch away.

  5. goal

GOAL Dundee 1-0 Kilmarnockpublished at 15:18 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Amadou Bakayoko

Dundee make the breakthrough! Owen Beck with the out-swinging corner, nodded on at the front post by Joe Shaughnessy, and Amadou Bakayoko has a simple task at the back-post, finishing from a yard out.

Simple for the Sierra Leone international - his first goal in Scottish football.

  6. Postpublished at 15:17 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Hibernian 0-0 St Johnstone

Jair Tavares darts in behind the visiting defence, but there's just too much on the pass from Dylan Vente and Saints goalkeeper Dimitar Mitov is out quickly to smother the ball.

  7. Flying Ryanpublished at 15:17 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

St Mirren 1-0 Heart of Midlothian

That Ryan Strain goal was the fastest in the Premiership so far this season, coming after just six minutes and 47 seconds.

  8. CLOSE!published at 15:17 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Dundee 0-0 Kilmarnock

Now that was a HUGE chance. I have no idea how Kyle Vassell hasn't hit the target there.

Danny Armstrong collects on the right, picks out Vassell and the striker somehow slices it wide from about five yards out, completely unmarked.

That was criminal from the Killie captain.

  9. When it's going wellpublished at 15:16 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

St Mirren 1-0 Heart of Midlothian

    Martin Dowden
BBC Sport Scotland at SMISA Stadium

As I said, St Mirren can do no wrong right now. Unfortunately for Steven Naismith, his side just did.

There's no way that ball should have found Ryan Strain, but a moment of hesitation and boom - disaster.

Exactly the sort of advantage you don't want to hand to this St Mirren side. The home crowd, once again, are absolutely loving it.

  10. Goal fest in Edinburgh?published at 15:15 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Hibernian 0-0 St Johnstone

    Brian McLauchlin
    BBC Sport Scotland

St Johnstone have started this game really well. There is a contrast in styles, with both defences looking vulnerable, so surely goals will follow.

  11. goal

GOAL Partick Thistle 0-1 Arbroathpublished at 15:14 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Jermaine Hylton

Two in-form sides in the Championship have attracted a big crowd at Firhill - and it is the visitors who edge ahead through Jermaine Hylton.

  13. Postpublished at 15:10 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Dundee 0-0 Kilmarnock

A tiny wee half-chance for Stuart Findlay, nodding over from a Kilmarnock free-kick. Even so far.

  14. Easy for Strainpublished at 15:10 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

St Mirren 1-0 Heart of Midlothian

    Leanne Crichton
Former Scotland international on BBC Sportsound

Total confusion in the Hearts line-up. Ryan Strain will not score an easier goal in his career.

  15. goal

GOAL St Mirren 1-0 Heart of Midlothianpublished at 15:08 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Ryan Strain

St Mirren strike first in the afternoon games!

It's dreadful defending from Hearts - Zander Clark and Frankie Kent leave an innocuous-looking Scott Tanser cross to each other, and Ryan Strain is on hand to tap in at the far post.

A dream start for the league's in-form team.

  16. CLOSE!published at 15:07 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Hibernian 0-0 St Johnstone

Now Hibs speed forward and Martin Boyle runs on to a nice pass from Dylan Vente and the winger drills just wide from a central position 20 yards out.

  17. CLOSE!published at 15:05 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Hibernian 0-0 St Johnstone

Free-kick for St Johnstone near the left edge of the penalty area. Graham Carey's curling shot takes a deflection off the defensive wall and the ball ripples into the side-netting.

  19. Hearts look to shoot down flying high Buddiespublished at 15:01 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

St Mirren v Heart of Midlothian (15:00)

    Martin Dowden
BBC Sport Scotland at SMISA Stadium

St Mirren seemingly can do no wrong right now. They are flying high second in the Premiership after a dream start to the season.

They come into home games pretty much favourites to deliver once again and many will tip that despite the opposition.

For Hearts, though, today seems a wonderful chance to climb the table and build on an impressive win last week.

It has the feel of a cracker in front of another big crowd.
