  1. goal

GOAL Hibernian 2-0 St Johnstonepublished at 16:28 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Dylan Vente

    What a goal that is!

Joe Newell threads a pass through the middle and Adam Le Fondre turns it round the corner with a beautiful flick.

Dylan Vente just has the keeper to beat and he does it in style, drilling the ball low into the corner of the net.

    Dundee 1-1 Kilmarnock

Danny Armstrong goes into the book for dissent, while Dundee replace Zach Robinson with Zak Rudden.

Andrew Dallas also came on in the first-half, replacing Marley Watkins. The fact I've only just noticed might tell you he's not done very much.

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:26 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Hibernian 1-0 St Johnstone

Great work from Saints goalie Dimitar Mitov as he comes off his line to cut out a fizzing cross from Martin Boyle. Jordan Obita was steaming in looking to finish that off.

And Mitov is busy again, getting down to push away an angled shot from Elie Youan.

  4. CLOSE!published at 16:25 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

St Mirren 1-0 Heart of Midlothian

Better from Hearts, who have improved after the break.

Centre-half Kye Rowles climbs highest from a corner, but it's somehow cleared off the line.

Hearts want a penalty for handball, but there's nothing doing from the officials.

  5. Postpublished at 16:24 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Dundee 1-1 Kilmarnock

    What a turn-up that would've been!

Owen Beck swings a free-kick on to Amadou Bakayoko's noggin, but the striker can only direct his header at Kilmarnock goalkeeper Will Dennis.

When you're down to 10 men, you need to take those chances.

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:23 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Hibernian 1-0 St Johnstone

Almost an equaliser for Saints as veteran centre-half Andy Considine gets some part of his body on the ball from a corner and David Marshall has to make a sprawling save right on his line.

  7. Dundee boss unhappypublished at 16:21 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Dundee 1-1 Kilmarnock

    Jane Lewis
    BBC Scotland at Dens Park

Tony Docherty has not been happy with some of the refereeing decisions in this one. Another foul in the Dundee manager's view didn't go his team's way there and the arms were up and the fourth official received a flea in his ear.

  8. Postpublished at 16:20 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

St Mirren 1-0 Heart of Midlothian

Best chance of the game for Hearts, as Cammy Devlin is found in space inside the penalty box.

However, the Aussie midfielder slips as he goes to shoot and slices it well wide.

That just about sums up Hearts' afternoon so far.

  9. What a miss!published at 16:19 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Hibernian 1-0 St Johnstone

Elie Youan, what are you thinking of?

Martin Boyle hares away down the right and cuts the ball back perfectly for the Hibs substitute.

The goal is gaping as the forward balloons his shot over the top from eight yards out.

  10. Structure so good from St Mirrenpublished at 16:19 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

St Mirren 1-0 Heart of Midlothian

    Martin Dowden
BBC Sport Scotland at SMiSA Stadium

Stephen Robinson has cultivated a remarkable balance between being solid and really hard to break through and carrying threat. When St Mirren do, they usually capitalise.

    That's what's getting them results.

Hearts are huffing and puffing but not really getting anywhere. Another for the home side and it may be curtains.

  11. Youan takes over from Tavarespublished at 16:17 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Hibernian 1-0 St Johnstone

Warm applause for Jair Tavares as the Hibs winger makes way for Elie Youan. That will mean a shift for Martin Boyle over to the right, where he looks more comfortable.

Tavares was neat and tidy in his first start since August 2022 but didn't pose much attacking threat.

  12. Postpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Dundee 1-1 Kilmarnock

Kilmarnock have started to crank the pressure up nice and early in the second-half against the 10-man hosts. This time, it drops to Danny Armstrong at the back. The winger tries to chest down and get a shot away, but it's well-blocked.

    One-way traffic at the moment.

  13. Changes from both sidespublished at 16:12 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Dundee 1-1 Kilmarnock

Back under way at Dens, with changes for both sides.

Fin Robertson is on for the hosts. He replaces Scott Tiffoney, who was anonymous in the first-half, in midfield.

Tom Davies is on for Kilmarnock - the 19-year-old full-back is on loan from Cardiff City and replaces Robbie Deas, who was lucky to still be on the pitch following a strong challenge.

  14. KICK-OFF SECOND HALFpublished at 16:06 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

We're off at Easter Road. They obviously want to beat the traffic in Leith. The teams aren't even out on the pitch in the other two Premiership games!

  15. Nip and tuck in Leithpublished at 16:01 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    HT: Hibernian 1-0 St Johnstone

    Brian McLauchlin
BBC Sport Scotland at Easter Road

The goal by Lewis Miller has certainly given Hibs the upper hand in this game.

By and large, it’s been fairly even, but the sublime ball by Joe Newell into the path of the onrushing Miller is the difference.

The noise level from the home fans certainly increased after they scored, but every time the visitors come forward, they look dangerous. Next goal in this game crucial.

  20. HALF-TIME St Mirren 1-0 Heart of Midlothianpublished at 15:55 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

St Mirren deservedly lead at the break in Paisley through Ryan Strain's early goal.

Hearts have dominated possession but have been unable to translate that into meaningful chances.

There's a distinct lack of cutting edge from Steven Naismith's side and, unless that changes in the second half, St Mirren look well placed to narrow the gap at the top to two points again.
