Manchester United's first-ever Women's Champions League game was certainly a memorable one.

Manchester United boss Marc Skinner, speaking to MUTV: "I was immensely proud. We let them get on top a bit in the first half, we felt like they had a different system, we made some adaptions.

"I am proud of the resilience in the first half and proud of the effort, commitment and quality in the second leg.

"Geyse, you put her on and all of a sudden she is a focal point to pull their players all over the place.

"The level we have added is not just numbers but also quality and decision making.

"We have always been the best team but now we want to be the best individuals in the team as well. There were players not utilised tonight who will be utilised through the season make the difference. They are all fully behind each other.

"We are building. I still think we have lots to improve on, but I am really happy with our platform going into the second leg.

"They now have experience. Our team belongs at this level. This is a quarter-final of the competition with the quality of the opposition but unfortunately we have to play them at this level. I will learn a lot and the girls will learn a lot."

Manchester United head to Paris for the second leg on Wednesday, 18 October.

Manchester United were such a distant second best in the first half it looked like they would be on the end of a heavy defeat, but in the end they will perhaps even be feeling a bit frustrated they didn't get the win.

The substitutions in the second half changed the game.

Katie Zelem's delivery is headed away and that is it, but a brilliant second-half performance by Manchester United.

Geyse again with some wonderful skill on the right to get past Sakina Karchaoui but she then drives the ball towards the box but into the sidenetting.

Another run by Geyse down the right results in yet another Manchester United corner.

The ball is sent into the middle of the box but Constance Picaud claims well.

A couple of changes for PSG as the excellent Tabitha Chawinga and Jade Le Guilly are replaced by Ramona Bachmann and Viola Calligaris.

One thing I have learned is that Geyse surely has to start that next game?

Now she wins a corner with a piece of brilliantly determined skill just inside the box.

Whatever happens from here on, this second half performance has been hugely encouraging for Manchester United and will give them confidence for the second leg.

Geyse goes down inside the box as she tries to get to the ball following a corner. Penalty? Referee says no and there's some boos from the crowd.

Nice move by Manchester United as Leah Galton clips the ball into the box for Hinata Miyazawa, whose cutback is cut out.

Excellent defending by Gabby George as she stops Sandy Baltimore from getting the space on the edge of the area to get a shot off.

Manchester United are now that bit quicker to close down a PSG player in possession and forcing the visitors into more hurried passes.

Could Manchester United go on and win this? Why not? They have the wind in their sails and the crowd behind them. What a final 20 minutes or so we have here.
