Manchester United will approach tonight's game as their biggest ever, says manager Marc Skinner.

"I'm under no illusions as to how difficult this is but there's something special about Manchester United and Champions League nights," he said.

"The game is on a pedestal, I don't need to put it up there as it's already there. I want to make sure we perform in it.

"I don't want the game to pass us by and us not perform because we've put it somewhere that is out of reach."

The stage is set at Leigh Sports Village for Manchester United's first ever match in the Women's Champions League.

Fans have been gathering pre-match inside and outside the Whistling Wren pub next to the ground and there were stalls selling flags, scarves, hats and more merchandise on my walk over from Leigh town centre.

There is always a great atmosphere here but the fans are determined to answer manager Marc Skinner's call for a special one tonight. They will no doubt relish the battle in the stands with PSG's "ultras".

The Red Devils' reward for finishing runners-up in the WSL last season was a place in the second qualifying round, and tonight they host Paris St-Germain in the first of two legs.
