Alan: Let's look at what Henderson has done at Liverpool - CL PL FA Cup and League Cup. A great servant of LFC and England.

Anon: Why is Henderson in the team? You have JWP playing as good as he ever has at West Ham.. doesn't even get in squad !!

Trent Alexander-Arnold looks to be playing in the role he does for Liverpool. When England have the ball he joins the play in midfield. Tomori, Dunk and Colwill then make up a back three.

The weather really is grim and it is making the surface very slippery as Sam Johnstone whacks a clearance right out of play.

A painful start to the game for Ollie Watkins as he takes an elbow to the face. He's okay, though.

The players are wearing black armbands and we've just had a period of silence to remember those who have died in Israel and Gaza.

James Maddison is playing through the middle, in the position that he loves playing and wants to play in. Plus, he hasn't got the responsibility of tracking any wide players back.

It is nights like tonight you appreciate being in a warm office. Lots of very cold and very wet fans in the stands as the players come out onto the pitch.

    Time for the national anthems.

Australia manager Graham Arnold has been talking to our colleagues on BBC World Service's Sportsworld.

Despite the Socceroos reaching the last 16 at a World Cup for just the second time last year, Arnold doesn’t think the team's successes will lead to change.

"Politicians invest hugely in stadiums, with training facilities with all that," he's told Sportsworld’s Mani Djazmi.

"Yet with us with football, especially on the Socceroos side, we don't have anything. We have to train at the Rugby League Oval."

There are mixed messages coming out of the camp. Sometimes it's players who are in form playing, sometimes it's the old reliable players.

But James Maddison, Jarrod Bowen and Ollie Watkins are playing so well. I think 95% of those playing tonight won't play on Tuesday, but they can send a really good message tonight.

Jordan Henderson has never let Gareth Southgate down. You've got to have those good characters in the group and he is one of those.

Joe: There's no way Jordan Henderson should be in the England team - his international career should have ended, now he's playing in what is basically an exhibition league in Saudi. It's also no coincidence Liverpool's midfield looks a look better since he left.

This is an Australian side who qualified out of a World Cup group with France and Denmark and narrowly lost to Argentina in the last 16.

And we still think they are an opposition that won't harm England.

It's going to be a huge game for all of the boys. The bigger challenge will be for the Australian players but England have to be careful because Australia have so much to prove, not many of the players are playing in the top leagues of Europe.

Australia are best when players underestimate them. They don't offer too much out of the blue but they are very, very fit.

Australia manager Graham Arnold has used Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou to try to inspire his side before their friendly against England.

Arnold asked Postecoglou and his fellow former Australia head coach Guus Hiddink to speak to his players before tonight's game.

"The speeches by Ange were very similar to what we've been saying for years," said Arnold.

"Doing it for the kids in Australia, the nation and the supporters."

Australian Postecoglou was appointed Tottenham manager this summer and has guided Spurs to the top of the Premier League table after eight matches.

He has also just made history by becoming the first boss to win the Premier League manager of the month award twice in his first two months in the job.

You have to have a system for who you're playing. Our strengths are at the top end of the field, you look at the ability we have, and it's in attack and midfield.

Yes when you play better teams you need an extra midfielder. Maybe Trent Alexander-Arnold will be playing in more of a midfielder role.

We should be imposing our quality on other teams.

England forward Jarrod Bowen, speaking to Channel 4: "Really good week and really looking forward to the opportunity.

"I just want to get out there and get going. I am feeling in a really good place at the minute, I am happy. I can't wait to get going and now it is down to me to do what I am doing.

"I just have to play my game and play with a smile on my face because it is a massive opportunity."
