Bournemouth
Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola to Sky Sports: "I would say that was the best performance from us so far this season, a complete performance. We have had good 45 minute spells in some games but the way we played both halves today was probably the best we have done all season.
On the fast start: "We wanted to put pressure on them and make them feel like it was going to be an uncomfortable game. That they would be facing a tough press and would not be free on the ball.
"It was key to start strong. We had some good chances at the beginning, we couldn't score and at half time it looked like one of those games. We were by far the best team but nil-nil, a very dangerous situation.
On Semenyo's joy down Newcastle's left side: "Antoine is having a good season, good training sessions and performances, and he is always a cause of a lot of danger for us. A very good player for the team to have.
On Solanke's performance: "He has been fantastic since the start of the seasn. He had the chances, and even in the first half he missed a few. He had more options to score even more, but he got the goals in the end. He adds plenty more than jus goals for the team, but it it always good when your number nine scores.
On another home win: "It is always important when you have the chance to play in front of your own fans, to have home advantage. Teams come here and know it is not going to be comfortable for them.
"It is a win that we needed but we still need to keep working becase we need more wins and more points. But I am happy with the effort we put in today."

Bournemouth
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola speaking to BBC MOTD: "Yes, I'm obviously happy because we needed these three points but even happier with the performance. The players deserve it. We kept pushing and we deserved it.
"It was key for us to make them feel like it won't be an easy game for them and make them feel uncomfortable under pressure. They play quite open and in transitional games, but that is a style that suits us.
"I think the substitutes gave us this energy and we had spaces for the counter-attack. It was becoming dangerous. We had chances to close the game - score a third one and finish it - but luckily we kept our clean sheet and could win the game.
"Dominic Solanke has been very good for us since the beginning of the season. He not only gives us goals, he gives us a lot of work, he is always a threat in the space and is good covering the ball. He is a pleasure to have him in the team."

Newcastle United
Newcastle manager Eddie Howe, speaking to Sky Sports after the game: "A really difficult game for us we were short today in-and-out of possession.
"Not out finest moment, we have to accept it and it was hard for us early on in the game and we had to adapt. Not ourselves today.
"We were frustrated with our performance, the goals compound that in the second period and we were hoping to dig out a result. We were not ourselves and we did not look like creating chances - it was about hanging in there.
"When we conceded the first goal it was a difficult evening for us.
"We did not have the options to change the game with Miggy [MIguel Almiron] injured that was one of our moments. We are going to be tested and it was a game too far for us.
"No criticism of the young guys they did well and it is a tough environment for them. Bournemouth played well and we suffered.
"Possibly in an ideal world we would have taken a couple of players off but that is how stretched we are at the moment.
On international break: "It has come at a good time for us. We don't have a choice and we have to be accountable for our performances and today we were off."

Newcastle United
Newcastle manager Eddie Howe speaking to BBC MOTD: "It was just a game too far and we couldn't respond. Bournemouth played well but we were well below par.
"It was a tough afternoon. We weren't ourselves in possession or out of possession. If you can't do that at this level, it will be a difficult day. When we are under fatigue and stretched, we usually respond better. We need to dust ourselves down and come back in strong.
"I don't know. Miguel Almiron's looks like a hamstring problem. It's unclear how Fabian Schar and Sean Longstaff are feeling.
"Nick Pope made some great saves for us and he needed to as we were leaking chances. Jamaal Lascelles did great in the air too but I don't think there were too many bright sparks. We were well off it.
"We have a whole host of players and we need them back as soon as we can. We have a busy December as well so it's not a good mix but something we have to get used to."

Bournemouth
Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke speaking to Sky Sports: "I'm feeling good. Obviously we've not had the best start to the season but we're looking to kick on. Hopefully I can carry on scoring.
"I think I've always believed. We've played some fantastic teams and some games we've been unlucky not to take three points. But we believe in the team and the staff and we showed that today. We're still far from where we want to be and hopefully we can kick on now.
"I had to go back to square one and work myself back up. I didn't really want to be in the Championship but I felt I needed to go and score some goals. Last season, back in the Premier League, I wanted to establish myself. This season I feel good and I have goals behind me.
"It's never easy adapting to a new manager. You always need time. We have played some top teams so we need to cherish these moments. We have some good form at home so hopefully that will continue."

Newcastle United
Newcastle captain Kieran Trippier, speaking to the Premier League Productions: "I would not say it is a shock, Bournemouth are a good team you always respect the opposition and they played a good game today and we were not ourselves.
"We have to think about it over the international break and come back. Bournemouth had a good game plan and deserved to win the game."
On debutants Lewis Miley and Ben Parkinson: "Lewis and Ben have trained well. This is when they have to be ready as they are going to have opportunities. Good to have young lads coming through the club."
On speaking to fans after the game: "It was just one of those where they were emotional and they have travelled far - we were having a chat.
"A message to the fans we apologise for this result and the lads are giving everything in the circumstances the lads are in.
"We are not panicking and we must stick together.
"The international break has come at the right time for the team and to have some down time and refresh then come back. After the break it will be relentless again."

Newcastle United
Newcastle defender Kieran Trippier speaking to Sky Sports: "Yeah it was obviously frustrating. We weren't ourselves. We were way off it and Bournemouth deserved the win.
"They are a good side. We knew it would be tough coming here. We tried to play our way under the circumstances - but there's no excuses.
"That's the reality. We wanted to play Champions League football and in every competition. This is what we want. We've lost a lot of players but this is when we need to stand up and give even more. The international break has come at a good time for us.
"We fell into their traps and made it like a basketball game. We needed to stamp our authority. We need to come back with a clear mind for Chelsea in the Premier League.
"It's a great experience for the young lads. We will need everyone. They have trained well, handled themselves well and we will need that.
"We have a few weeks for the lads who are injured to get fit again. It's the perfect time [for the international break].
"The fans are emotional, they have travelled a long way. I had a chat with one of them, saying we are giving everything and there's no need to panic. We got beat and we apologise for that result but the lads are giving everything."
FT: Bournemouth 2-0 Newcastle
Newcastle, meanwhile, missed the chance to climb up to fifth with the defeat.
They have won just once away from home in the Premier League this season.

Bournemouth
Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke, speaking to Premier League Productions after the game: "We knew it was going to be difficult game today Newcastle are a top side and they have been really good the past few seasons.
"We knew they have had a heavy schedule and wanted to catch them quick and be more physical than them. I think we did well today."
On his form this season: "I think we have not had the best of starts. A new manager coming in and we have had to adapt, we have had a tough schedule but we believe in ourselves and we know we have the team to compete in every game.
"We have not shown that all season, but we showed it today."
On the VAR check for his goal: "I do not know what they were checking, I was quite nervous thankfully the check got cleared and it is another goal."
FT: Bournemouth 2-0 Newcastle
This is what the win means for Bournemouth as they move out of the relegation zone.
If they play more often like they did just now then you suspect they will be fine.

Newcastle looked a bit jaded with the trip in midweek and it just showed in the legs today.
Injuries are taking their toll on Eddie Howe's squad, you saw that in the comparative lack of quality between the sides, with so many young players and squad players in the team.
Bournemouth sensed that weakness and came out with a point to prove. They had plenty of attacking threat, dominated and got a vital win and three points.
They enter the international break with that gap and cushion from the bottom three.
