That is what you call a 'welcome to the game' from Lascelles to Ouattara.

The Newcastle captain looked in control of the situation there but the Bournemouth winger got to the ball first and the defender just takes everything out there.

Adam Hopkins: Re Mike 18:41 - a lot of Newcastle's absences are freak unlucky ones. Burn's back injury, Tonali's ban, Botman who is a CB not really someone who does a lot of running. Think it's bad luck more than anything!

    Bournemouth 2-0 Newcastle

    Glenn Murray
Former Brighton striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Sinisterra is so unlucky, he did everything right there.

Perfect first touch, took all the speed out of the ball, swivels and gets the shot away.

Lascelles did so well to get a block on that and deny a certain shot on target.

We did say that when Bournemouth saw that Newcastle team sheet this evening without a recognised striker they would have fancied their chances.

They have been positive and made lots of chances, and now taken two of them.

On the way to two wins from two at home.

  17. Postpublished at 77 mins

    Dominic Solanke on the spot.

He was in the perfect position to make the most of the rebound from a Sinisterra effort that deflected off the post and a defender's hip.

He kind of scorpion-kicked it into the back of the net.
