Pre-match, the Hearts manager Steven Naismith spoke of the "calm" that Beni Baningime can bring to the side.

He, like Lawrence Shankland ahead of him, hasn't put a foot wrong in the opening quarter of this one, running the show from the middle of the park.

With the exception of the capital derby, Hearts can't have started a match much better than this.

And what a bit of defending that was from Shankland to keep his side ahead. Outstanding all-round contribution so far.
