Rangers have had seven wins and two draws against Hearts since the last time they tasted defeat to the Gorgie side back in February 2020.

Rangers manager Philippe Clement tells BBC Sportsound: "I've been satisfied with the mentality of the team. It's only the first week, I'm still in the observation period to see how everybody reacts.

"To me, every game is a big game. You do not win trophies or titles without viewing every game as big. I want to see that mentality in games and in training sessions. That is the basics of our work, if you do not do that you do not win trophies.

"We are going to try to push luck towards our side by playing good football and creating a lot of chances."

Hearts boss Steven Naismith tells BBC Sportsound: "We need to focus on today's game, it'll be tough. Rangers have made a change and they've got off to a good start.

"We'll need to defend much better than we did last week. We never had much fight and gave up cheap opportunities. We've got good quality within the team and hopefully we should be able to hurt Rangers.

"Our record at Ibrox is poor, that's something we need to try and change. You don't do that by defending for 90 minutes."
