    Brighton 0-0 Brentford

Technically we have a shot on target as Brighton's Jan Paul van Hecke knocks the ball into the air and Mark Flekken catches.

A proper chance now as Brighton full-back Jack Hinshelwood beats his man and crosses for Pascal Gross, who shoots wide. Although wins a corner.

    Sheffield United 0-0 Liverpool

And now Liverpool begin to wrestle back some momentum. A deep looping corner is met by Virgil van Dijk whose header is tipped over the bar by United keeper Wes Foderingham.

Everyone overlooking City's loss of Gundogan this year. He is a huge loss. Fancy Villa tonight.

  4. 'Wonderful defending'published at 19:50 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2023

    Sheffield United 0-0 Liverpool

    Alex Bruce
Former Hull defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Fantastic defending from Virgil van Dijk. He didn't panic and just when he needed to, he stepped across. Powerful, big frame. Wonderful defending!

  5. Postpublished at 19:50 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2023

    Sheffield United 0-0 Liverpool

Sheffield United look dangerous on the break as Cameron Archer steams forward down the left.

But once he gets into the box he appears to overthink things and allows Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk to get back and intercept his pass into the middle.

  7. 'Less pressure on Silva than Cooper'published at 19:49 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2023

    Fulham 0-0 Nottm Forest

    Stephen Kelly
Former Tottenham defender on BBC Sport online

Marco Silva has probably got a little bit more in the bank out of these two managers in terms of resisting pressure of poor form.

Steve Cooper did so well to keep Forest in the division last year but Fulham did so well that Silva has that bit more leeway.

  8. Postpublished at 19:48 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2023

    Fulham 0-0 Nottingham Forest

A first proper chance at Craven Cottage and it falls to Nottingham Forest.

Divock Origi finds himself half a yard of space but ends up curling his effort a yard or two wide.

Fulham stopper Bernd Leno had it covered anyway.

  9. 'You'll get goals from Chelsea'published at 19:48 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2023

Man Utd v Chelsea (20:15 GMT)

    Paul Robinson
Former Tottenham and England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think you'll definitely get goals from Chelsea when you look at how they've played in recent weeks.

You don't know what you're going to get. Both are in rebuild or destruction, if you like!

  10. Postpublished at 19:48 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2023

    Brighton 0-0 Brentford

Slick passing round the box for Brighton but Joao Pedro can't find Billy Gilmour, and then Kaoru Mitoma overhits a cross.

Salah is looking deadly already he is definitely going to get his 200th goal today with the way he is playing

  12. 'Glorious opportunity for Sheffield United'published at 19:46 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2023

    Sheffield United 0-0 Liverpool

    Alex Bruce
Former Hull defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Well that will get the crowd going. Glorious opportunity for Sheffield United. A sloppy mistake by Gomez. He gives it away, too many touches. He gets robbed by Archer. A good save from Kelleher.

  13. Postpublished at 19:46 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2023

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Bournemouth

Ex-Bournemouth man Jefferson Lerma tries his luck from 25 yards out, but Neto has no reason to be worried as the ball drifts well off target.

  15. 'No clear chances yet'published at 19:45 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2023

    Fulham 0-0 Nottm Forest

    Stephen Kelly
Former Tottenham defender on BBC Sport online

No real chances from either side as of yet.

Fulham with most of the ball and Forest content to sit back, stay tight and try to catch them on the counter attack.

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 19:44 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2023

    Sheffield United 0-0 Liverpool

Almost the opener for Sheffield United!

Cameron Archer pinches the ball off Joe Gomez and drives forward a counter-attack for the Blades with possession eventually bundled into the path of James McAtee who swings his boot at the ball.

But Liverpool stand-in keeper Caoimhín Kelleher is quick off his line and expectedly palms the shot away.

A big let off for Liverpool.

Is it just me who can’t get behind Gakpo over Nunez? I know Nunez has blanked recently but he is incredibly dangerous and takes his chances. Really disagreeing with Klopp on dropping him tonight.

  19. 'More movement needed in forward areas'published at 19:42 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2023

    Fulham 0-0 Nottm Forest

    Stephen Kelly
Former Tottenham defender on BBC Sport online

They just need a little bit more movement in the forward areas Fulham, just a little static at the moment.

There was a good move moments ago getting the overload down the left hand side and getting a pass into Jimenez.

  20. Postpublished at 19:42 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2023

    Fulham 0-0 Nottingham Forest

It's not been the most exciting of starts between Fulham and Forest.

The Tricky Trees have just had a wide free-kick easily headed clear.
