Newcastle boss Eddie Howe spoke to BBC Sport earlier after his side suffered a 3-1 defeat by Nottingham Forest:

"It was a combination of a lot of things. I thought the first-half performance was pretty good, we scored and had chances but the second half was difficult.

"We didn’t play very well, they were a transition threat and we got punished.

"We were close to making it 2-0 and we get caught, they score and the second half is probably a reflection of that moment.

"They were always in the game. They had pace and physicality and that was difficult but normally we take pride in defending those situations better and that wasn’t there.

"I’m already analysing what has happened today and we will come back and improve. The big thing for us is that we haven’t been able to train in a long period of time and hopefully now we’ll get some training-ground time."

They come up against a Burnley side that were impressive in a 2-0 win at Fulham at the weekend, but have won only one of their nine league games at home so far.

Nottingham Forest's win against Newcastle earlier today has not helped matters, leaving the Clarets in 19th place and five points adrift of safety as they aim to avoid an immediate return to the Championship.

It's been a real cracker in the end hasn't it!

It was a poor first half, lacked quality. Both teams were direct and neither compromised their style, the most direct game I've ever watched.

However for entertainment value it has been fantastic.

Luton have been admirable, showed resilience after losing the lead to come back and win it. They will take so much confidence going forward.

Everyone has been put into the Luton final third, Ahmedhodzic and Foderingham have acted as quarter backs for Sheffield United for the last ten minutes.

The only thing wanting this game to end is the match ball, it will have altitude sickness from the long ball after long ball attack from the home side.

Into the final two minutes. Time is against Sheffield United now but you can't rule out one final twist in this rollercoaster of a game.

Goals from Justin Kluivert, Dominic Solanke and Luis Sinisterra give Bournemouth a well-deserved three points against a poor Fulham.

For only the second time in their history, it is going to be four top-flight wins in a row for Bournemouth.

Nottingham Forest's win at Newcastle earlier means Luton cannot climb out of the bottom three today but if they hold on they are just one point from safety.

It would be a huge win, but Sheffield United are doing all the attacking at the moment.

Bournemouth just know how to win games at the moment, they make themselves so hard to play against, just know how to stay compact.

Credit to the two central defenders today, there has been a lot of talk about Dominic Solanke of late, but they have been equally as important. So solid at the back, they marshall that back line so well, another clean sheet on the cards too.

Luton haven't had a shot on goal since before Sheffield United scored their second goal, yet they are leading 3-2.
