    Luton 0-1 Chelsea

Luton will be very disappointed at how they gave that goal away as it was a lapse in concentration, and they know they need to be absolutely on it pretty much every game.

There's still plenty of time for them to get back into this, although there are boos from the home fans as Djordje Petrovic takes a bit too long with a goal kick for their liking.

Palmer continues to be so important for Chelsea. What an impact he's made since he joined from Manchester City. Excellent finish to give the Blues the lead.

Fletch: Whatever you think of Chlesea, they have some good players but even I can see they lack creativity. I think they should play Palmer with Nkunku, surely Poch is considering this?

Matt: Jared at 12.26. Poch has been disappointing but he has been given a squad with almost no leaders and his captain and vice captain out for much of the season. He needs at least one more season

    Cole Palmer

    Great finish.

Terrible defending by Luton, however, as a poor clearance is hit straight to Cole Palmer just inside the box and the former Manchester City forward is clinical with a strike into the far corner.

That's goal number seven in the Premier League this season for the youngster.

Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic is alert to a ball over the top and comes out of the box to kick it out for a throw.

The visitors then go on the attack as Cole Palmer tries his luck with a low drive from the edge of the box, but it is pounced on by Thomas Kaminski at his near post.

Good defending by Luton as they force Chelsea to go backwards as Malo Gusto doesn't feel comfortable trying to get a cross in from the right.

Pretty quiet start to the day's first game in the Premier League.

Be interesting to see how Barkley plays today. Currently turning out to be one of the signings of the season.

Given the results Chelsea have had this season, he wouldn't tell us but Mauricio Pochettino probably doesn't have a clue of how his team will play today.

Luton will ask questions of Chelsea, how they will play and how they will compete. If they don't compete, Luton will run over Chelsea.

Thus far Pochettino has been a disappointment. Six months down, he neither understands what players he has nor what or how to use them. He can't even build a team. I don't see him having any grasp at Chelsea to be sincere.

I think this whole Chelsea team need to focus on the effort and intensity and ability to outwork this Luton team. Can you outwork them in this atmosphere? Once you do that, players like Cole Palmer can give you the edge.
