Arsenal are missing a number of starting players Vivianne Miedema, Kim Little, Lia Walti.. but they are running riot here.

It is a statement to the rest of the league of what they are capable of, and when they get those players back, they could be even better.

Into the last five minutes and the chances keep coming, Stina Blackstenius spins inside the penalty area and hits the side-netting from a tight angle.

Arsenal should probably have had more in this second half, daft as that sounds. They've had 12 shots since the resumption.

It really has been a game of two halves.

Willie Kirk's changes that he is making now in this game is just a tactic to prevent any further goals conceded.

The points are gone, it is about making the goal difference impact as little as possible.

  7. Postpublished at 20:28 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2023

    Leicester 2-5 Arsenal

They've shipped five goals in half an hour and Leicester are in a pretty much 3-3-4 formation without the ball. Brave or just asking for trouble?

Again they just continue to carve open Leicester at will.

Blackstenius confidently strode through and demanded where she wanted the ball.

    A clinical finish from Blackstenius.

Leicester players get into another huddle to discuss how to stop the flow of attacks.

    Stina Blackstenius (75 mins)

Leicester just can't deal with Arsenal. Again the Foxes are on the attack and after they lose the ball they concede in a matter of touches.

Steph Catley threads a brilliant pass through the middle, Victoria Pelova feeds Stina Blackstenius on the overlap and she passes into the back of the net.

  10. CLOSE!published at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2023

    Leicester 2-4 Arsenal

And now Beth Mead goes close with a shot from about 15 yards. That's all three subs who could have scored since coming on.

Leicester could do with the full-time whistle and sharpish.

    Leicester 2-4 Arsenal

    Chloe Hudson-Jones

I can't see any way back for Leicester now to be honest.

Arsenal's tails are up, they are full of confidence and are tearing the home side apart at will.

Then they have gone and brought on the likes of Mead, Hurtig and Blackstenius who have only added to the intensity.

I'll have what she's having. Absolutely.

All credit to the Gunners but honestly you could drive several London Buses through the gaps in this Leicester defence. I don't know what is going on.

Goodness knows what Eidevall said to Arsenal at half time, or fed them, it's certainly done the trick!

Arsenal take the chance to send on more weaponry in the form of Beth Mead, Lina Hurtig and Stina Blackstenius. A sobering triple sub at this stage in proceedings.

Blackstenius immediately has a chance, nodding over the top.

  16. Postpublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2023

There are more goals in this game, for sure. Victoria Pelova has the freedom of the King Power once again but a poor touch stops her from firing a shot in.

Any chance of the wing-backs tucking in for a few minutes?

That's four goals in 12 second-half minutes for Arsenal. Their attacking has been off the charts but so has Leicester's defending.

We said after the first Arsenal goal that we had not yet seen Leicester crumble in the face of adversity but they have been turned over.

They are now strolling back instead of sprinting.

We expected Arsenal to come back and respond - we expected that to come via substitutes but we did not expect that from the side that started the game.

Fair play to them we did not see this coming at half time!

GOAL - Leicester 2-4 Arsenalpublished at 20:12 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2023

    Victoria Pelova (61 mins)

    This is remarkable!

Leicester want a penalty for a challenge in the area and within about 30 seconds they have conceded again. Arsenal pick the pass to cut them open once again, this time it's Cloe Lacasse sprinting clear to pick out Victoria Pelova in the middle for a tap-in.

Exhilirating football, yes. But Leicester have been so naive at the back.
