Worryingly for Leicester Arsenal have Beth Mead and Vivianne Miedema both on the bench today.

    Gulp.

At the moment it just looks like Leicester want it more.

You look at the quality Arsenal have on the pitch and you think they would be winning but no matter the quality in your squad, you need to work for it and earn it.

I would not be surprised to see changes for them at half time.

    Leicester 2-0 Arsenal

Arsenal have conceded five first-half goals in six games, only Bristol City (12) and West Ham United (six) have conceded more in the Women's Super League this season.

The Gunners have to tighten up.

    Arsenal are shellshocked!

Straight away Arsenal are in a huddle trying to sort the situation out, something has to change here.

It has been far too easy for this Leicester side to break through, Hannah Cain in particular has had a huge hand in both goals.

A great finish from Janice Cayman, when you get those chances you have to take them and she did so expertly.

Pick the bones out of that one. Arsenal are having a huddle as someone gets some treatment for an injury.

  6. goal

    Janice Cayman (39 mins)

Wowwwww! What a few minutes for Leicester and the shocks in the WSL keep coming!

Hannah Cain nearly made the opener for the Foxes a few minutes ago but she does get an assist now, threading in a beauty of a cross from the left and Janice Cayman slides in to poke it home.

  7. 'Arsenal marking was poor'published at 19:25 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2023

    Leicester 1-0 Arsenal

What a time to score for this Leicester side!

When you've got the likes of Petermann in your side, Russo is marking her but she makes a yard of space for herself to nod it back across goal.

Then at the far post Tierney beats Wubben-Moy to the ball to nod the home side in front.

The Arsenal marking should have been so much better there.

  8. goal

GOAL - Leicester 1-0 Arsenalpublished at 19:23 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2023

    Sam Tierney (37 mins)

Leicester lead! It's the first goal they've ever scored against Arsenal in the WSL and it's really sloppy defending.

Lena Petermann is all alone in the area to meet a corner, she heads back across goal and Sam Tierney is able to get up at the back post and flick it in.

And now a huge chance at the other end!

Leicester spring the Arsenal high line, Hannah Cain puts it across goal and it's a tap-in for Deanne Rose until Lotte Wubben-Moy sticks out a boot to clear.

    Brilliant defending.

    Chloe Hudson-Jones

Both sides have been guilty of turning the ball over too easily.

I'm not sure if it is the greasy surface, which is very quick with the heavy rain, or if players are rushing on the ball.

They need to get the ball under control properly as any misstep could be punished with a goal.

She had a square pass on, or could have gone for the low finish, she could have gone around the keeper...

Whatever, they had to score there.

  12. CLOSE!published at 19:19 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2023

    Leicester 0-0 Arsenal

GOT TO SCORE! Arsenal have to score that, Leicester goalkeeper Janina Leitzig tries to play it out to Courtney Nevin but Victoria Pelova reads it and nicks the ball.

She breaks forward and Arsenal have three players in on the goalkeeper, basically. Pelova lofts the ball over the keeper's head...

    ...but it's wide!

Delicious pass inside the full-back from Victoria Pelova but Arsenal don't quite make the most of it. The Gunners are turning it up a notch.

  14. Postpublished at 19:15 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2023

The tempo has really dropped as both sides calm down that electric high press a tad. You get the feeling both sides are still feeling each other out, waiting for a mistake.

Here's an opening for Arsenal though, the ball is whipped out to Caitlin Foord on the left of the area, she shoots low but Catherine Bott makes up the ground superbly to block her shot.

    Chloe Hudson-Jones
Ex-Leicester midfielder on Radio 5 Sports Extra

Even after a few spells of possession Arsenal are still looking rattled by this high-pressing Leicester side.

It's been a very positive start from the home side but it does beg the question, 'How long can they keep up this press for?'

I think Willie Kirk will be the happier of the two managers, his side have been excellent so far.

This is good from Leicester. Patient play opens up space on the right, the ball is whipped in by Courtney Nevin and Arsenal keeper Manuela Zinsberger makes a hash of taking it. Amanda Ilestedt to the rescue and clear.

Chief Lioness Sarina Wiegman is in the stands taking this one in, that's a busy Sunday having already been at the Spurs - Liverpool game earlier on. Sausage roll at Leicester Forest East on the way home no doubt.

  20. 'Both sides need to move the ball quicker'published at 19:00 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2023

    Leicester 0-0 Arsenal

    Chloe Hudson-Jones
Ex-Leicester midfielder on Radio 5 Sports Extra

It's been a little bit slow from both sides playing out from the back in this opening quarter of an hour.

Both teams are pressing high and looking to be high energy but when they play out from the back it needs to be much quicker.
