We don't want to go too early on Conor Bradley, but when someone comes into a team of Liverpool's stature then of course there is always comparisons.

The early signs are he defensively looks sound, his goal was so impressive with his composure and how he found the far corner.

He barely wasted a pass and looks like a really mature player, physically he looks excellent and like all the Liverpool players he can really handle the ball.

You can see the determination [from Liverpool]. I have seen this team put on some great performances this year but that was as complete a performance as I have seen from them.

I was waiting for the press to slow down in moments but it never did.

I think Chelsea ran into a team tonight that was right at the top of their game.

Burnley manager Vincent Kompany to TNT Sport on whether Montpellier defender Maxime Esteve will join the Clarets: "I hope so, I hope tomorrow will go well. He was there today, watched the game.

"He's another player who can help us, a left footer as well, everybody will have to play their part.

"Anything can happen on deadline day."

  4. 'We had a 10-minute black-out'published at 22:17 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January

    FT: Tottenham 3-2 Brentford

    Brentford

Brentford manager Thomas Frank speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "Except for the 10-minute black-out, we played a very good game. We frustrated them with the high press, we were good with the low block, on the break and transition we were very dangerous.

"Then we had a black-out, so it is about being smarter. The second goal is the most disappointing, don't concede from the kick off. But we recovered, I thought we had chances to score even more.

"I think we have good players, we do a lot of things right. It does not seem like this season it is dropping the right way, but we have to keep fighting."

On whether they will sign players on transfer deadline day tomorrow: "Never say never, let's see."

On Brentford's league position: "I'm not worried. We just beat Forest with a good performance, we lost today with a better performance."

Former Blackburn striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Where do Chelsea go from here?

People were looking at this game tonight and thinking 'how are Liverpool going to go?'.

Arsenal have to beat them at the weekend. If Liverpool go there and win they might just go all the way.

Liverpool's 28 shots is the joint-most on record (since 2003-04) any side has had in a Premier League match against Chelsea.

Their 13 shots on target is the most the Blues have faced in a league match in that time.

Former Rangers striker & manager on TNT Sports

Liverpool were terrific. They were dominant throughout. There were some brilliant performances.

I think it was just about the complete performance.

Yes, Chelsea had some chances, but let's face it, they were outplayed.

Burnley manager Vincent Kompany to BBC Match of the Day: "Our team just keeps going and that will never go. But we're playing against a top team. We have to look at the easy goals we conceded but also the chances we created. The priority now is to build that momentum towards Fulham.

"We played one of the best teams in the world. In these games it's about being able to build chances and momentum. I felt if we had the last pass coming off, if we put it in the back of the net it would help of course.

"We had our moments. I can dissect it as much as I want but we have to move on to Fulham now.

"I thought we looked after the ball ever so well. Every time we had the ball we looked threatening. When we defended, we have to defend better.

"It's Burnley Football Club. It's 101 points in the Championship last year. It's six years survival in the Premier League with definitely the lowest budget for all those years. We'll find a way, we keep grafting and going. There's enough drive in the club to keep pushing ourselves. We're definitely not going to give anything up."

One thing you would say is that if I am Pochettino and Chelsea, I am looking for a bit more from the £250m I have spent in the middle of the park. It's not the first time I've said it about Fernandez and Caicedo.

Dave: I feel sorry for Poch. He should never have accepted the impossible job of managing these clowns. But he isn't helping himself with some odd choices; no striker and Sterling getting anywhere near the pitch for starters.

Maurice: Sterling has been the worst player on the pitch.

Fed up of hearing about how unlucky Darwin Nunez is. If he's unlucky every game, then it's an ability issue, not luck.

Spurs manager Ange Postecoglu speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "It's a young, maturing team. Friday showed we have a long way to go and tonight was another test. Arguing with the opponents isn't going to help us."

On Destiny Udogie: "It's a testament to him, he made a mistake but I don't care about that. There's a lot of growth to come, he keeps on trying to be the player we want him to be."

On Timo Werner: "I don't think we helped him in the first half, didn't give him enough of the ball. We have some fantastic players, and Timo is proven at this level, he will keep getting better."

On Richarlison: "He worked his socks off for the team, his hold up play was exceptional against strong defenders. Getting goals when Sonny [Son Heung-min] is away is important."
