Micki: Nkunku's injury in pre season could have been the biggest event in Chelsea's season. Who knows where they would be if he had been fit all year?

Stu: Chukwuemeka driving through the middle, a striker who trusted his feet and wanted to shoot. It’s not hard Poch! Sterling out!

  2. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:52 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January

    Liverpool 3-1 Chelsea

Iconic game for Liverpool's Darwin Nunez as he hits the woodwork for a fourth time. His header from 12 yards come off the bar. This must be near a record now.

Harvey Elliott's shot is saved and then Alexis Mac Allister has an effort blocked.

I've just seen a replay and Virgil van Dijk clips Christopher Nkunku. Just like he did Conor Gallagher in the first half. Very lucky.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglu speaking to TNT Sports: "The first half we started off well enough, then we conceded the goal and lost our way, we got dragged into things we shouldn't have. In the second half, we were really good for the first 25 minutes, we scored goals and could have had a couple more. Then after their goal it was stop start, but it was entertaining."

On the first half: "We were getting dragged into things, that's not who we are. We were chatting to the ref more than we were playing football. We are naive at times, focusing on the wrong things, but that's all part of our growth.

"The lads showed character to come back, for 25 minutes of the second half we were outstanding, the type of team we can be. It could have been easy to drop our heads."

On being back in the top four: "We haven't been far away from it all year, will try and stay in and see where it takes us."

  7. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 21:50 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January

    Liverpool 3-1 Chelsea

Christopher Nkunku wants a penalty now as he says he's fouled on the edge of the box by Virgil van Dijk. Not given.

Chelsea keep the ball through and Malo Gusto's shot is saved.

Christopher Nkunku was the joint top scorer in the Bundesliga last season. He can be a huge player for Chelsea if he stays fit.

Out of nowhere! I have got to say Christopher Nkunku takes this goal superbly well.

Chelsea need a centre forward they can rely on, it is a clever finish and he manoeuvred the ball well.

  10. 'Excellent finish from Nkunku'published at 21:48 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January

That is an excellent finish. It is good play.

He has a quick look to see where Alisson is and gives himself a half-yard. The keeper had no chance.

Alex: Both Sterling and Palmer have had absolute stinkers tonight. The kind of performances which make it so easy to see why Pep got rid.

James: Another big away game in which Cole Palmer can't be bothered to show up. He'll probably score a penalty against Wolves on Sunday and we'll be talking about what a player he is.

Anon: Re Mark 21:38 - Few Liverpool fans regret Sterling leaving. Salah and Mane both much better than him.

Maybe Klopp is trying to save Bradley's legs for Arsenal at the weekend!

He will be bursting inside, and so he should be. What an unbelievable 65 minutes from the young man.

Phil: Another assist for Bradley! Trent should be nervous, his position could be in jeopardy at this rate!

Anon: Great squad management from Klopp; Bradley and Gomez have been exceptional in the last few games so they keep their place, despite having two world class full backs on the bench. If you want players to push each other, they have to believe their hard work and aptitude has an end goal.

Tattz: Good football to watch, exciting matches, Ange changing things at half time and changing the game, into the top 4 - so much for Spurs fans to be happy about this evening.

Anon: Great viewing Spurs & Bees a credit to both sides. Not so much credit to the referee - how did Norgaard stay on the field? At least 5 fouls - and a body check not given - after he had been booked.

Great header from Dominik Szoboszlai and what a ball by Conor Bradley.

Driving towards the byline and Bradley stands up a beautiful ball - dare I say it Trent Alexander-Arnold like.

Textbook header past Djordje Petrovic the power and accuracy was too much.

    Game over.
