  1. 'Tottenham fans will want their side to go for the FA Cup'published at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Tottenham v Burnley (20:00 GMT)

    Clinton Morrison
Former Republic of Ireland striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

100% this Tottenham side will want to win trophies while playing this style of football under Ange Postecoglou.

Coming into the ground today Tottenham fans are excited to see the football - this is the cup competition that they want to see their side go and try to win.

They were a bit disappointed in the lack of Carabao Cup run, they didn't field their strrongest side in that loss to Fulham. A good FA Cup run would be great for the fans.

    Fulham 0-0 Rotherham

A couple of important blocks inside the Rotherham penalty area as Fulham threaten from a corner.

The initial ball is met by Rodrigo Muniz, his header comes back off a defender, as does the fierce follow-up shot.

    Brentford 0-0 Wolves

Another coming together near the touchline as Matt Doherty is blocked off by Mads Roerslev, who is shown a yellow card.

It's been very stop-start. Lots of fouls, very little quality.

Oooh. We've just seen a replay of the incident that got the two managers chatting on the touchline.

It looked like Mikkel Damsgaard had just fouled Tommy Doyle near the touchline, but he was actually very late, catching Doyle on his ankle with a full face of studs.

He's received a booking but nothing more. That's why Gary O'Neil was unhappy.

For all Fulham's possession - it stands at about 80% so far - they have yet to fashion a chance of note.

It has been a lot of passing in front of a well-set Rotherham defence without much cutting edge.

    Brentford 0-0 Wolves

Oh no, no, no. This is a complete waste by Mathias Jensen.

Neal Maupay's shot is blocked but he sees Jensen completely unmarked to his left on the rebound.

He tees him up and Jensen has the goal in front of him but he completely miscues it, skewing it well wide.

    Fulham 0-0 Rotherham

    Ronnie Moore
Ex-Rotherham manager on BBC 5 Sports Extra

Rotherham are giving it away, they've got to keep the ball better.

A 60-70-yard ball straight through to Marek Rodak puts Fulham straight back on the attack and they've got the ball again.

Sorry Mel Eves (19:36) I completely disagree that tackles from behind with studs off the ground on the ankle is just a yellow. It does not matter if the player meant it or not, it's a red card all day long now.

Burnley manager Vincent Kompany on Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou: "I've been aware (of him) for a long time, before he even got to Japan.

"I'm not surprised, he's probably done it in the hardest way.

"His character and personality - he can show you in many moments why he's been successful without him having to talk about football."

Fulham get a free-kick on the right which is whipped in by Andreas Pereira. It's too high for Tosin Adarabioyo and the ball skims off the top of his head and out for a throw in.

The home side are dominating possession now, though, with Rotherham content to sit deep and look to counter.

Wolves have got through 15 minutes with a man down and are starting to find their feet a little bit.

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglu said it is Tottenham's ambition "every year" to win a trophy like the FA Cup.

"At the start of every season every club has ambitions and dreams of winning silverware," said Postecoglu.

"More than anything else, it is an opportunity for us to try to win a competition and for a club of our stature that should be the ambition every year.

"Every competition I am in, I want to win. I don’t rank them or diminish any against others.

"The club has history in this, many of the greatest memories Spurs supporters have will have been in the FA Cup."

Keane Lewis-Potter fizzes in a dangerous cross and Jose Sa takes control, punching it away.

On the touchline, Wolves boss Gary O'Neil and Brentford's Thomas Frank are in deep debate.

They have a passionate discussion but end it with a handshake. Wonder what that was about?

Fulham nearly get in thanks to a super ball from deep from Andreas Pereira.

He spotted the run of Harrison Reed but the midfielder can't bring the ball under control on the edge of the box.

Had he done so, he'd have had a clear sight of goal.

In fairness to both officials and the people who make the laws, tackles like that by Gomes are why tackles like Calvert-Lewin's last night are being over-punished. You force that kind of tackle out of the game by excessively punishing anything that even resembles one, so people stop making them. Unfair at times, but there's logic there

Red card is correct decision - good refereeing. And I fully expect Everton will lose their appeal too. Studs up in a tackle is dangerous play - the speed of the offence is entirely irrelevant! Studs up and contact made - that's a red card.
