Great sight for Man City [having Doku and De Bruyne on bench] as they step into the second half of the season. I don't think Pep will rush throwing De Bruyne back into it. I'd expect him to get some minutes today.

It has been a strange season for Bristol City fans so far this campaign. Many were surprised by the sacking of former manager Nigel Pearson, with the Robins not a million miles away from the play-off zone and ravaged by injuries.

Liam Manning has since arrived from Oxford and attempted to bring a more patient, passing style to the side. Results have been up and down.

A win in London today would go a long way to winning a lot of supporters around.

David Moyes speaks to West Ham United's English midfielder Michail Antonio on the touchlineImage source, Getty Images

West Ham striker Michail Antonio has rejected any criticism of David Moyes' style of play, saying it's helping the Hammers get results.

Moyes has twice guided the club to top-seven finishes in the Premier League and they are sixth in the table currently.

In addition, the Hammers will be involved in the latter stages of European competition for the third season in succession, winning last season's Europa Conference League to end the club's 43-year wait for a trophy.

Speaking on the BBC's Footballer's Football Podcast, Antonio said: "The way the manager plays is not the most beautiful way of football. People say it's negative, but before he came in we were conceding a lot of goals.

"One thing we've always been able to do is score goals. The fact that he makes us stay tight and we're not so expansive, even when we have the ball, it's because we don't want to be countered on. We don't want to be conceding goals because we know that we can go and score goals.

"In any way, shape or form that he can keep us in shape so we don't concede a goal, he always believes that we can win the game because he always believes we can score goals.

"People can see it as negative or that we're not playing pretty football, but at the end of the day it's getting us results and it's winning us cups."

It is a crisp and clear day in Manchester as the two teams go through their warm-ups ahead of kick off.

There's little doubt that the majority of - if not all - Manchester City fans here are expecting a routine win and instead most of their excitement appears to be around the potential return to the pitch of one player - Kevin de Bruyne.

The Belgian star just emerged from the tunnel, prompting the large crowd of fans gathered near there to cheer and call his name.

Will he get on the pitch for his first minutes since August today?

The 23-year-old is expected to play the first 45 minutes.

Boss Carlos Corberan said: "We have all been looking forward to this moment, but Daryl is especially looking to it.

"He has been managing his injury for a long time and now appears to be the moment where he is ready to return to the competition."

The former Barnsley player has scored seven goals in 27 games for West Brom since arriving two years ago.

Around 9,000 Bristol City fans are expected at London Stadium this afternoon - and it could have been an awful lot more.

City sold their allocation on the first day of tickets going on sale to season ticket holders - leaving a lot of disappointed reds.

Whether the away end will be full is another matter though many struggling with train disruptions this morning. Cancellations and closed lines has caused mayhem.

Four-time winners of the FA Cup, Bolton have scored nine goals over two matches in the competition so far, beating Solihull Moors 4-0 and Harrogate Town 5-1.

However, the Trotters are without a win in seven FA Cup games against Premier League opponents.

They travel to the City Ground looking to reach the fourth round in consecutive seasons for the first time since 1969-70 and 1970-71.

Blackpool have progressed from two of their last four FA Cup ties against top-flight opponents, including a 4-1 win against Nottingham Forest last season.

But it will be a tough task given Forest's strong record at home recently in the competition.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side have won five of their last six at home in the competition, last losing to Liverpool in March 2022.

City are also chasing a fourth straight Premier League title and are still in the running - only five points off leaders Liverpool with a game in hand.

They take on a struggling Huddersfield side that sit 21st in the Championship, just three points above the relegation zone.

If the Terriers can claim a win today they would be the first since Middlesbrough in 2015 to inflict a home defeat on City in the competition.
