    Stoke 0-1 Birmingham

Stoke goalkeeper Daniel Iversen makes a crucial intervention to ensure Birmingham don't double their early lead.

Siriki Dembele slips his marker and has a fierce shot well saved.

That save came after Blues keeper John Ruddy was tested a few times at the other end.

  2. Postpublished at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Plymouth 0-1 Cardiff

Plymouth go close to a response after falling behind.

Darko Gyabi sends Ryan Hardie away down the right and his ball across the face of the goal is agonisingly close to the arriving Morgan Whittaker.

  3. Postpublished at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    QPR 0-0 Millwall

First shot on target of the London derby goes to QPR who break on the counter and Ilias Chair's shot forces Matija Sarkic into action in the Millwall goal.

  4. Postpublished at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Blackburn 1-0 Huddersfield

It's all Rovers at the moment.

Sam Gallagher's shot is deflected into the side-netting for a corner and a minute later, Dom Hyam's header brings Town keeper Lee Nicholls into action.

Mind you, with their defensive record they may need to build a healthy lead.

  5. 'Keeper should have done better'published at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Norwich 1-0 West Brom

    Chris Goreham
Norwich commentator for BBC Radio Norfolk

Josh Sargent beats the off-side trap and Alex Palmer can't keep it out the West Brom net.

Sargent doesn't catch the ball quite right, but it is enough.

Palmer would have hoped to have done better there.

  6. goal

GOAL: Norwich 1-0 West Brompublished at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Josh Sargent (13 mins)

    Deadlock. Broken.

And it is Norwich who hit West Brom after getting off to somewhat of a slow start.

Kenny McLean comes up with possession in his own half, then finds Josh Sargent who times his run to perfection.

He keeps his cool and does enough to beat West Brom goalkeeper Alex Palmer.

  8. PENALTY: Watfordpublished at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Bristol City 0-0 Watford

Rob Dickie handles the ball in the box and the referee points straight to the box.

    Nightmare for the home side.

    Perry Ng (11 mins)

We knew there'd be goals in this one.

A corner from the right ricochets around the box and falls to Perry Ng who steers in a close-range finish.

A great start for Cardiff, but the hosts have scored three times in their last four home games so plenty of time.

  10. Postpublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Rotherham United

First chance goes to the Millers.

Boro are caught playing out from the back and Sam Clucas duly picks their pocket.

He tees up Jordan Hugill who looks to capitalise, but his bending effort is wide of the post.

  11. goal

    Jay Stansfield (10 mins)

Jay Stansfield opens the scoring for Birmingham in fine fashion!

Koji Miyoshi finds the Fulham loanee with the decisive pass, and while there is still a bit to do he creates space for himself to lash his effort home.

  12. Postpublished at 15:11 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Norwich 0-0 West Brom

West Brom have lacked goals on the road in recent times, losing back-to-back games without hitting the net themselves.

John Swift has gone looking for an early opener for the Baggies, but sent his powerfully stuck free-kick just wide.

  13. Postpublished at 15:10 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Bristol City 0-0 Watford

Watford have had a couple of half chances inside the first 10 minutes, with Tom Dele-Bashiru seeing a shot blocked and Wesley Hoedt taking a (really) long shot almost from halfway that Max O'Leary collects.

  14. 'Wharton is so cool'published at 15:10 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Blackburn 1-0 Huddersfield

    Steve Thompson
Former Blackpool assistant manager on BBC Radio Lancashire

Adam Wharton is so cool with the ball when he gets it.

His eyes must have lit up when he intercepted the pass.

He takes his time and just passes the ball past the goalkeeper.

  15. goal

GOAL: Blackburn 1-0 Huddersfieldpublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Adam Wharton (7 mins)

Bad start for the Terriers as a mistake from Jonathan Hogg leads to the opener.

Adam Wharton accepts the gift as he intercepts high up the pitch, before moving into the box and adding a cool finish past Lee Nicholls, into the bottom corner.

  16. Postpublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Coventry

Djeidi Gassama has got off an early warning shot for lowly hosts Sheffield Wednesday.

His effort is off target, but it makes for a bright start against the in-form Coventry.

  17. Postpublished at 15:06 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Rotherham

A notable absence at the Riverside is Boro skipper Jonny Howson who is missing from the squad today, but at the moment it isn’t clear why. A late injury?

Perhaps he’s being saved for the small matter of an EFL Cup semi-final second leg at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.

Dael Fry skippers the side in his absence, while Luke Ayling and Fin Azaz make their debuts

  18. Postpublished at 15:04 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Plymouth 0-0 Cardiff

Plymouth head coach Ian Foster has included four January signings in his starting line-up today.

Alfie Devine and Adam Forshaw make their debuts, while there are home bows for Darko Gyabi and Ashley Phillips.

It won’t cheer Cardiff boss Erol Bulut much - the Bluebirds are yet to make an addition in the transfer window.

  19. KICK-OFFpublished at 15:00 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

And we are up and running in a majority of these 15:00 GMT kick-offs.

How much will the next couple of hours shape the hopes and dreams of these Championship sides?

  20. Goal-hungry Pilgrims seek more home comfortpublished at 14:58 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January

    Plymouth v Cardiff (15:00 GMT)

General shot of Home ParkImage source, Rex Features

If there's one thing we might come to expect when Plymouth are at home it's goals.

The Pilgrims are 19th after a five-match winless league run but are a side to fear at Home Park this season, and are unbeaten there in eight matches in all competitions since a 3-1 defeat by Swansea on 7 October.

This season they have also racked up a dizzying 33 goals in 13 league games on home turf - and netted three goals or more in nine matches in all competitions.

Cardiff are having a mixed bag of a season but are within five points of the play-offs, despite a run of three defeats in their past four.

Consistency has been their Achilles heel this term - the Bluebirds have not strung together back-to-back wins since late October.

Worryingly, considering today's fixture, City have conceded 13 goals in their past five games in all competitions, and failed to score in three of their past four.
