    Swindon 2-1 Colchester

Have Colchester got an equaliser in them or have Swindon weathered the storm?

When Matt Jay's effort was cleared off the line a little earlier they were looking the more likely to grab a goal.

Neither of these sides is in good form, Swindon have lost five out of six, and Colchester have lost eight out of nine.

    Barrow 0-0 Tranmere

Tranmere's top scorer Connor Jennings is the latest to try to break the deadlock at Barrow, but he sends a header from Regan Hendry's cross wide of the target.

Jennings needs one more goal to reach double figures in the league.

    Port Vale's Uche Ikpeazu scores!

He races to the bench to celebrate with his teammates and manager Andy Crosby.

    What a second half!

  7. Postpublished at 16:26 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January

    Exeter 1-0 Carlisle

The current scoreline will be enough for Exeter to climb out of the bottom four in League One and result in Reading, who are not playing today, dropping into the relegation zone.

Poor defending again from Port Vale.

The ball is loose and rolling around in the middle of their own box.

There are players from both sides scrapping for it near the penalty spot.

Charlton's Daniel Kanu gets to it first, slides and pokes it into the net.

  9. Postpublished at 16:24 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January

    Cheltenham 2-1 Portsmouth

You can expect Portsmouth to have a right go at Cheltenham now, having fallen behind to Liam Sercombe's quickfire double.

Top scorer Colby Bishop has just headed over for the visitors, who were sensing a five-point lead at the top of the table but will have a group of promotion contenders snapping at their heels if this scoreline stays the same.

Sercombe has been taken off by Cheltenham boss Darrell Clarke, with Curtis Thompson on to replace him.

    Exeter 1-0 Carlisle

    Chris Lumsden
Former Carlisle midfielder on BBC Radio Cumbria

Exeter have dominated the midfield play so far.

We need to get a grip of the ball and play the ball forward.

We just don't seem to have that athleticism in the team at the moment.

  12. Postpublished at 16:21 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January

    Mansfield 0-1 Crewe

Chances at both ends as Crewe goalkeeper Tom Booth denies Mansfield's top scorer Davis Keillor-Dunn before Courtney Baker-Richardson heads Joe White's corner into the side netting.

It feels like a goal is coming, but for who is anyone's guess!

Cheltenham players celebrate scoring against PortsmouthImage source, Rex Features

Cheltenham have been in much better form in recent times, particularly at home, but who saw this scoreline coming?

The team who started three points from safety have only ever beaten Portsmouth once before, a 1-0 victory in 2022.

The scorer that day? Liam Sercombe.

  14. Postpublished at 16:18 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January

    Barrow 0-0 Tranmere

Jamie Proctor fires over the bar for Barrow as this one ticks over the hour mark.

It's been a pretty even contest throughout with nothing much between the sides - can either find a winner in the last half-an-hour?

It looks the sort of game where one goal might be enough.

    Exeter 1-0 Carlisle

    Pat Baldwin
Former Exeter City defender on BBC Radio Devon

Just as I was praising Exeter's midfield, the away side create a big chance.

Luckily Jordan Gibson's finishing has been poor else Carlisle would have had an equaliser.
